Ponant releases new itineraries to the Northern Lights, New Zealand's Chatham Islands, and the Micronesian Islands.

Ponant has launched its 2023–2024 voyages for the Southern Hemisphere’s summer season. The new itineraries have been crafted to explore the heart of remote islands, sandy beaches and encaptivating landscapes of the South Pacific Ocean. Lush islets crowned with immaculate tropics through to the enchanting dawn of the Northern Lights in Norway are also on offer.

The French-flagged fleet comprises 13 small capacity ships equipped with state of the art environmentally friendly equipment. With Ponant, exploration is refined, authentic and a source of inspiration.

There are 69 new sailings with a wide range of activities including: meetings with local communities, visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites, diving, snorkelling, swimming, hiking, snowshoeing, biking and sleigh rides.


New Zealand’s North Island & Chatham Islands (7 nights)

For this brand-new itinerary, Le Lapérouse will set sail to discover the charm of northern New Zealand cities with their strong Māori traditions and the preserved nature of the Chatham Islands.

Departing from Wellington, the ship will set sail in search of these ancestral treasures that have forged the reputation and the charm of the North Island.

Following the translucent waters of the South Pacific Ocean toward Gisborne, distinguished by its enchanting environment of sandy strips and subtropical forest, and making way to the breathtaking landscapes of the Chatham Islands and Wellington.

From New Caledonia to Micronesia (16 nights)

Aboard Le Soléal for a voyage to the heart of remote islands in the Pacific, guests will travel from New Caledonia to Guam to explore rich local cultures and exceptional underwater life in Vanuatu, Espiritu Santo and the Solomon Islands.

After a port of call in Papua New Guinea, the mysteries of Micronesia will reveal a scatter of islands and atolls lost in the heart of the northern Pacific, while the shores of Chuuk Lagoon and Pulap Island unveil traces of an underwater Military Museum.

Nordic Discoveries & Traditions (10 nights)

Set off aboard Le Bellot to experience an exceptional exploration through Norway in the winter. From Tromso, the voyage sails towards these magical lands where the captivating itinerary takes in snow-capped summits, immaculate landscapes, and the discovery of millennial traditions.

Embarking on a journey through the magical Trollfjorden, a sound separating the two archipelagos in the north of the country, the ship will then journey to Hammerfest, the northernmost town in the world. The port of call in Honningsvåg will take you to the northernmost point of Europe: the North Cape.

Seychelles to Sri Lanka Expedition (15 nights)

From the Seychelles to Sri Lanka via the Maldives, embark on an expedition featuring wild, untouched nature and a cultural mosaic of countless scents and colours. Set sail among the captivating archipelago’s most idyllic islets, journeying through Victoria and Praslin, making way to Aride Island.

Experience a sense of wonder in this tropical vastness as you follow the warm waters of the ocean, a sprinkling of islands lined with tall coconut trees.
