Benetti continues to signal its confidence and intense focus on Australia’s luxury boating market by staging its first ever Australian Benetti Yachtmaster roadshow on Thursday 16 May) as a lead-in to the Australian Superyacht Rendezvous at Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM).

Now in their 19th year, Benetti’s Yachtmaster events have been staged around the world for superyacht captains and industry professionals to learn about the latest news and commercial practices from Benetti’s two shipyards at Viaraggio and Livorno in the famed Italian region of Tuscany. This year, Benetti brings its Yachtmaster roadshow to Australia as part of the third annual Australian Superyacht Rendezvous along with this season’s events in Palma de Majorca, Turkey, Greece and Fort Lauderdale.

Benetti made its debut at the Australian Superyacht Rendezvous last year and Peter Mahony, Asia Pacific General Manager of Benetti says it was an important insight into the understanding the Australian market and identifying a way to evolve the Benetti within this promising region.

“Last year’s Australian Superyacht Rendezvous was highly effective for Benetti and as such we have stepped up our involvement this year and look forward to presenting our first ever Australian Benetti Yachtmaster roadshow,” Mr Mahony said.

“We feel Australia has so much to offer and with such a depth of experience and ownership already established the marine tourism industry in this region still holds enormous potential for growth,” he said.

“Further, Australia’s climate, culture and passion for lifestyle makes yachting a perfect pursuit in this stunning destination and we hope to grow the understanding and value of the Benetti brand here.

“Our Benetti Yachtmaster roadshows are steeped in history and provide an insight into what our shipyards are doing on a global scale and how best to work with our vessels to deliver the best possible cruising experience for owners and charter guests alike.”

Benetti’s evolving presence in the Australian market has seen the development of some key partnerships including a strategic partnership with host venue, Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard (GCCM) to ensure Benetti owners have priority access to a world class “one stop shop” for repairs and maintenance with an impressive concentration of over 80 onsite marine trades.

“Experienced yacht owners attach high importance to a clear understanding of how a yacht will be maintained and supported and it is with this “service first” strategy that we are delighted to demonstrate that any Benetti owners and crews can rely on the plethora of marine services and experts available at GCCM to receive Benetti approved service and repairs – an important guarantee and assurance and confidence for our calibre of buyers,” Mr Mahony said.

The Benetti team will be showcasing three models – Mediteraneo 116; Diamond 145’ and BNOW63.

In a recognition of Australia’s active lifestyle and beautiful rainforests, flora and fauna, Benetti’s presence at Australian Superyacht Rendezvous 2019 will include a Benetti Botanicals Bar at the VIP Gala event staged on Saturday, 18 May serving up botanical desserts and gin cocktails with an Italian twist such as Negronis and Brookies.
