Australian race bred luxury cruiser manufacturer, Maritimo, is starting the 2018 international boat show circuit with a four vessel on water display at next month’s Miami Motor Yacht Show.

The 30th annual Miami Motor Yacht Show will be held on Collins Avenue and will showcase more than 500 luxury cruisers across an on water display of more than 1.3 million square feet.

Maritimo’s International Sales and Marketing Manager, Greg Haines, said the 30th annual Miami show would be a good litmus test of the market for the year ahead in the USA.

For the first time Maritimo will be displaying one of its express sedan range, the S51, and will also have a scale model of the revolutionary and yet to be released X60 sedan cruiser.

“We have good brand awareness with our range of Maritimo flybridge cruisers in the USA, but we are not so well known for our sedan range and this type of boating in the USA is very popular,” said Haines.

” We will also be displaying the M51, M54 and M59 cruising motoryachts so there will be plenty of variety on offer.”

Maritimo’s USA dealer partners, Galati Motor Yachts, Silver Seas and Compass Point Yacht Sales will all  be represented at the Miami show and  they will have customers and contacts from throughout the USA attending.

Haines said Maritimo’s  ‘Aussie Tough’ reputation in terms of the build quality of its range and also the long range cruising capacity of all Maritimo’s were two of its key points of difference in the USA market.

“One of our existing owners, Bill Barrett, who has an M54 is virtually an unofficial company representative he is so committed to the brand and his boat,  he will be in attendance at Miami talking to prospective buyers,” said Haines.

“Bill is typical of the American Maritimo owners in that he does a lot of sea miles in his boat and he and his wife thoroughly enjoy the lifestyle that their Maritimo provides.

“We believe the S51 will resonate strongly with attendees at the Miami show as it is the perfect boat for use on The Great Lakes and in other areas where bridges come into play.”

Haines said the S51 had a base price of US$ 1.337 million and was powered by Volvo Penta D11-725 hp marine diesel engines. The S51 has a three  cabin floorplan and provides expansive single  level living and entertaining space from the saloon out into the  cockpit.

Haines said other key features of the S51 were a full beam master suite, walk around decks, aft galley and bi-fold doors between the saloon and the cockpit. Galati Yacht Sales, Jay-Dee Galati, said the S51 will be sure to turn heads at Miami as it fills a hole in the USA market.

“All the Maritimo dealers in the USA are extremely excited to have the Maritimo sedan vessels brought into their inventory,” he said.

“The ability to achieve a spacious full beam master stateroom along with the reliable, low maintenance straight shaft engines, large fuel capacity and offshore seakeeping ability are unrivalled qualities in the market  especially in the 52 foot range.

“We anticipate this Miami show will be  strong  for the Maritimo brand continuing the momentum we had at Fort Lauderdale which was the best USA show Maritimo has had to date.”

Haines said  Maritimo would be represented at all the major boat shows around the world throughout 2018 and was continuing its brand awareness expansion strategy internationally with a team of highly experienced and reputable dealer partners.  “We have some major milestones ahead of us this year and we remain committed and on track to increase our model offering and build on our existing sales figures,” he said.
