Australian luxury motor yacht builder Maritimo has unveiled the first model of its upcoming long-range offshore cruising motor yachts series, the M600 Offshore.

The M600, the first in the series of new Offshore models that is set to include both flybridge and sedan vessels, embodies the spiritual direction of the range: long-range cruising capabilities combined with performance, value and high construction integrity.

Designed with the concept of optimising but not being restricted to the fishing experience, The M600 includes a 2.4-metre-long offshore cockpit with enclosed transom, offering 10.2 square metres of open deck space.

Integrated into the cockpit space are large wing lockers, transom wells, in-deck fish boxes, rod holders, and flush gunwale capping.

The M600 Offshore also includes a second distinct cockpit area with a sheltered 9-square-metre open deck and lounging space with extensive moulded flybridge headliner.

A deadrise hull with deep keel, sharp bow entry and flattened progression aft reflects Maritimo’s continued focus on performance, comfort and stability.

Straight shaft drives are powered by standard twin inline six-cylinder Volvo Penta D13 800 MHP power units. When combined with Maritimo’s hull and straight shaft technology, these will enable fuel-efficient and low-emission propulsion. A significant detail considering the M600’s long-range potential and its 4,550-litre capacity.

Optional power units include Volvo Penta inline six-cylinder D13- 1000 MHP or Scania V8 Di16-1200 MHP power units.

“The M600 is centred around a hull design that is an advanced evolution of Maritimo’s experience in long-range cruising design and world-leading shaft drive performance and efficiency,” said Martimo’s lead designer, Tom Barry-Cotter.

He added, “Features such as the enclosed climate controlled flybridge skylounge, internal flybridge stairs, aft galley, walkaround side decks and highly practical and well-thought-out deck spaces have set the standard internationally for modern motor yacht design.”

In conjunction with function, the M600 offers a level of luxury and comfort on board, reminiscent of the brand’s previous models. The expansive aft entertaining and offshore cockpit, connected by either sliding or bi-fold doors, enables a vast space for those on board to interact while two stage vista sliding windows in the saloon and flybridge invigorate these areas with both natural light and fresh air.

Featured below deck are three staterooms and two ensuites with full-beam king master stateroom, queen offset forward stateroom and twin single starboard guest stateroom.

The M600 skylounge and living environment can also be converted to additional berths.

“Below decks we have gone to incredible effort to create free-flowing spaces that best utilise the hull’s enormous volume, maximising height and minimising the number of steps in the floors and the ceilings,” added Barry-Cotter.

“We are beyond excited with the new Maritimo Offshore Series and where this series will lead our brand.”

The M600 Offshore Motor Yacht will have its global premiere later this year.

Founded in 2002, Maritimo is an Australian-based producer of luxury motor yachts. The brand’s headquarters are on the Gold Coast.
