Perched thirty-five floors above Darling Harbour with views to the airport, across the city centre and to North Sydney, Lumière on Thirty Five is set to bring a new edge to Sydney’s night life.

“Lumière on Thirty Five will bring a world class cocktail experience to Sydney,” said Greg Brady, General Manager, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour

“By day the space acts as an exclusive club lounge for our guests but of an evening after 8.30pm we open as Lumière on Thirty Five.

“Sofitel is a French brand and you will see nods to French culture and design throughout our building.  And so too in this new space – Lumière is French for light and from thirty-five floors up, the view across the skyline at night is breathtaking. Our whole ethos is about bringing the French zest for life into our everyday interactions and inspiring heartfelt encounters with our guests.

“With our menu and cocktail selections, our choice of performers and talent, our incredible team behind the project we believe we have truly captured that French essence and zest for life.”

Key to the Lumière on Thirty Five experience will be its bespoke cocktail menu offering an exploration of new tastes and experiences with each cocktail telling its own story.

The Lighthouse, an enticing mix of three-month barrel-aged Two Doctors Whisky, Averna Amaro, Whiskey Bitters and Chocolate Bitters – its name comes from the beacon of light that the building offers against the Darling Harbour skyline.

The Aviary is not just delicious but evokes a bird taking flight with a blend of Packham Pear infused Grey Goose, St-Germain Elderflower, Honey, Vanilla Extract, and Aquafaba.

Or the Candle Tealight that brings a little glow to brighten your day, one tiny flame at a time, and sounds almost good for you with its Jasmine Tea infused Aberfeldy, Muyu Vetiver Gris, Winter Melon Tea, Ginger.

Calling on the talents of our award whining culinary teams, Lumière on Thirty Five will also present a selection of sweet and savoury small bites.

“If our Champagne Bar is the entrée of a night out, then we see Lumière on Thirty Five as the dessert,” says Alessandro Certa, Venue Manager Lumière on Thirty Five.

“Apart from Cocktails we will also be offering that after dinner escape, somewhere to sit in comfort and enjoy artisan desserts created by incredibly talented chefs.

“The Signature dessert offering is the Native Flowerpot. Presented in a vase from Red Shed Studio Jam, this bouquet of edible flowers has been crafted to showcase the growth and identity of native Australian produce from different regions of the country and features flavours of Strawberry Gum, Passionfruit and lemon myrtle, River mint and wattle seed. This dish we expect to be an instant Instagram moment.

“And while enjoying the view and the desserts, we will offer a line up of live talent on Friday and Saturday that will again give us an edge,” said Alessandro.

“Our aim is to create a relaxing vibe with unique local talent enhancing the overall experience.”

Opening weekend will feature harpist Rebekah Chandler performing an eclectic blend of modern, pop, classical, R&B, jazz, and cultural music styles on the Harp. Followed by a journey from Vintage Vegas, to The Moulin Rouge in Paris and The Golden Era of New York Jazz and Swing, with vocalist Mimi, and the feel good funk and soul agenda of ELEM with Li-Mei Russel on lead vocals.
