Debuting the innovative M xDrive system, the sixth generation of the M5 combines remarkable track day potential with the everyday usability and comfort expected of a luxury sports sedan.

“We are thrilled to have the new BMW M5 here in the country,” said BMW Group Australia CEO, Marc Werner.

“The performance figures alone are impressive, and if you combine it with the switchable all-wheel-drive system you have both a track car and a luxury sedan, without compromise at either end of the spectrum.

“Given the remarkable price point we’ve offered the M5 at here in Australia we have generated considerable interest. We cannot wait to see local customers jump behind the wheel,” he said.

The new BMW M5 is powered by a further developed version of the M Division’s 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
