The Grande 36M, newly launched in Viareggio, Italy, is the latest entry in the Azimut fleet and will be presented to the public at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival.
The new superyacht perfectly embodies the DNA of Azimut’s Grande line, with innovative design choices creating barrier-free spaces in which the sea and sky converge to offer a unique sense of freedom.
The innovation aboard the Grande 36M is the semi-walkaround upper deck, which runs on the same level from the stern almost to the tip of the bow.
This revolutionises the traditional layout and creates an area that didn’t exist before on boats this size.
But there’s more: the windows in the skylounge open completely and disappear out of view, eliminating a final barrier and transforming the upper deck into a huge space open to the ocean.
A distinctive feature of the Grande 36M is layout solutions that can be configured by the owner to ensure freedom in terms of onboard lifestyle.
Interiors were undertaken by Achille Salvagni, while the exterior styling is penned by the unmistakable hand of Alberto Mancini.
The Grande 36M forms part of Azimut’s Low Emission Yacht range thanks to synergy between the high-efficiency D2P® Displacement-to-Planing hull, designed by P.L. AUSONIO Naval Architecture in conjunction with the Yard’s research and development office.
An extensive use of carbon fibre also reduces the weight of the superstructure.
These innovative design features introduced by Azimut make it possible to reduce CO2 emissions by 15 to 30 percent at both cruising and high speeds, compared to boats of the same weight and size with a traditional chine hull.
With the launch of Grande 36M, Azimut looks ahead to Boat Show season and its eagerly awaited premieres.
