Italian yard Ocean King will present the global premiere of the Ducale 120 M/Y Vãyus at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023.

The Ducale 120, an elegant three-deck vessel crafted entirely at the Ocean King shipyard in Chioggia (Venice), stands as a perfect amalgamation of advanced engineering and Italian craftsmanship.

This displacement yacht, boasting a gross tonnage of 358 GT, and stretching 36.80 meters in length and 8.50 meters in breadth, features a sturdy steel hull with high-quality aluminium superstructures.

Both the exterior design and interiors are the creations of Studio VYD, while the naval engineering has been developed by Ginton Naval Architects and Studio inNave. With its balanced lines, Vãyus offers 250 square meters of open space.

Expansive surfaces along the decks provide uninterrupted visual contact with the water, from bow to stern.

This unique project has allowed the owner an exceptional level of customisation, boasting unique features like two swimming pools: a seawater pool in the extensive beach area at the stern and a heated freshwater pool on the sun deck.

The interiors are characterised by a modern and elegant design, with a sophisticated interplay of diverse materials, ensuring exceptional comfort. The main salon provides ample full-height windows that open onto the side walkways, flooding the space with abundant natural light.

On the main deck, towards the bow, there’s the full-beam owner’s suite, offering breathtaking panoramas through the large windows.

The internal area on the upper deck extends outdoors via folding side doors, creating a unified open space where guests can enjoy a relaxing area. This deck also houses the impressive command zone and an adjacent comfortable cabin for the captain.

The sundeck, with its second pool, offers a spacious area surrounded by sun loungers, a guest bar, and various furniture arrangement options to cater to the future needs of the owner. On the lower deck, four guest cabins – two VIPs and two doubles – offer every comfort, each with a private bathroom.

The areas for the seven crew members comprise three double cabins, a lounge, a kitchen, a laundry room, and a cool room. Affirming its true Explorer DNA, the Ducale 120 has a high-efficiency hull with bow bulb, designed to optimise and minimise consumption.

The engine room is a perfect blend of reliability and quality, designed with a keen eye for functionality and efficiency. Inside, it houses two industrial-grade MAN engines, the powerhouse of the yacht’s propulsion system.

These robust and reliable engines not only ensure a maximum speed of 14 knots but also an impressive range of 7,500 nautical miles, thanks to their efficient fuel consumption management.

The design of the engine room allows for uninterrupted navigation 24 hours a day. Furthermore, from the engine room, it’s possible to access the tender garage, which can accommodate water toys and a tender up to six meters in length, with a side hull opening for launching.

In a statement, the yard said, “We share our passion for crafting uncompromising yachts, combining the best features of a ship with the style and luxury of a yacht.

“We hope that this presentation will demonstrate the dedication we have to our craft and the commitment we put into every aspect of constructing our vessels.”

The Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 will run from 12 to 17 September.
