Falcon Brae launches off-the-grid South Island luxury at their exclusive-use villa.

Set on a hilltop in Stanley Brook near Nelson, the oldest city on the South Island of New Zealand, and hidden amidst three national parks and set on 350 acres, Falcon Brae Villa would be at home in any fantasy novel with its private forest and spectacular scenery.

This 720-square-metre refuge offers exclusive use for six adults and up to four children.

It features a large central lounge area with a 5-metre ceiling, sunken bar, grand piano, media theatre, commercial kitchen, 3 dining areas and a stunning collection of New Zealand and local art. Guests can relax in the “Games Den” just in front of the helipad terrace which houses a gym, pool table, table tennis, darts and a games table.

The large deck space overlooks the mountains and river, featuring a pool and outdoor heated spa, barbecue area for outdoor dining.

This private luxury retreat is a destination in itself and makes a perfect base to explore over 22 wineries, over 30 craft studios and galleries, the Great Taste Cycle Trail, scenic helicopter flights, guided wilderness hikes, kayaking, white water rafting, heli-hiking, heli-fishing, Lord of the Rings heli-tour, horse riding, catch and release fly fishing, sporting clays and shooting sports, fishing in the Marlborough Sounds and more.

On site activities include exploration of 18 km (11.25 miles) of hiking trails, leisurely river walks, archery, golf chipping range, e-bikes, animal hobby farm tour and sheep shearing, bird watching, private cooking classes, in-house massage and yoga, spectacular night sky gazing, and learning about the property’s restoration of native bush and the creation of its Manuka plantation (with honey samples available to taste and take home).

Rates – inclusive of 15 percent GST

Low season (1 June – 31 October) – minimum 2-night stay

Rates for individual suites at Falcon Brae Villa start from NZD2,990 per night and exclusive use from NZD 6,500 per night (up to nine guests).

High season (1 November to 31 May) – minimum 3-night stay

Exclusive use only is available during this period and starts from NZD10,000 per night.

Daily flights to Nelson from the three major international airports of Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland enable easy global access.  Road transfers from Nelson Airport (50 mins) are NZD350 each way for up to two people and NZD500 each way for three to eight passengers).

Helicopter transfers (15 mins) are dependent on the number of passengers and amount of luggage.  Rates are inclusive of 15 percent GST.
