Sirena Yachts has introduced the Sirena 48 Coupé Hybrid, a new model equipped with a hybrid propulsion system that combines coupé styling with environmentally conscious technology.
Following its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 in France in September, the Sirena 48 Coupé also received the Hybrid Yacht Trophy from World Yachts Trophies.
In a post on social media, the Turkish boatbuilder said, “We’re proud and honoured to receive this award, a special trophy that is given each year to the yacht that best exemplifies the idea of a hybrid yacht.
“At Sirena Yachts, our focus on design and craftsmanship is coupled with a healthy dose of proven technology. Our introduction of the new Sirena 48 Coupé Hybrid has proven to be a popular yacht on the docks as those show visitors curious about alternatives to traditional propulsion systems explore the latest offerings.”
The Sirena 48 Coupé Hybrid is equipped with a serial hybrid powertrain, enabling silent operation and zero exhaust emissions. The hardtop design helps to reduce wind resistance and weight, optimising electric propulsion performance and further extending its cruising range.
The yacht includes a three-stateroom layout with spacious outdoor areas. Solar panels on the coupé roof contribute to the yacht’s range, and twin 213 kW electric motors support a maximum speed of 14 knots. The hybrid system allows for up to 30 nautical miles on electric power alone before switching to generators, aiming to balance performance with economy.
“Our team is incredibly excited about the Sirena 48 Coupé Hybrid and its potential impact on the Australian and New Zealand markets,” says Peter Hrones, managing director of regional dealer Eyachts.
“This model represents a significant leap forward in sustainable luxury – we anticipate it will be a game-changer for yacht enthusiasts looking for both performance and environmental responsibility.”
Sirena Yachts says it has designed the Sirena 48 Coupé Hybrid with flexibility and customisation in mind, offering various layouts, styling options and equipment levels.
