The wild edges of Tasmania have always called to those who crave more than just a leisurely stroll through nature. It’s a place where landscapes are carved from ancient stone and the air hums with stories as old as the cliffs themselves.

Now, for the first time, the Tasmanian Walking Company (TWC) offers an adventure that touches every corner of this rugged beauty – literally. The Three Capes Adventure Walk, launching this December, takes guests further, deeper, and to all three of the namesake capes: Pillar, Hauy and, finally, the long-elusive Raoul.

Until now, only two capes were within reach. Two out of three, as Meatloaf would croon, ain’t bad. But in the world of the TWC, not bad just doesn’t cut it. This new adventure is bigger, tougher, and more immersive, stretching 50 percent longer than the classic Three Capes Signature Walk and adding an extra day’s accommodation in a premium, tented haven nestled deep in the wilderness.

This expansion isn’t just about more steps – it’s about stepping onto all three capes, marking the first time a guided walk has included Cape Raoul.

Heath Garrett, TWC’s Head of Values & Standards, sums it up simply by saying, “It’s the only walk that touches all three,” and for the true adventurer, that’s the real prize – a walk that doesn’t leave you wondering what lies just out of reach.

At 75 kilometres, this is not a stroll for the faint-hearted. But for those with a thirst for challenge, the payoffs are monumental – a six-hour trek to the stunning Cape Raoul Lookout, the windswept promontories of Cape Pillar and the sheer cliffs of Cape Hauy.

And when the sun sets, a private eco-lodge or tent awaits, where you can unwind with chef-prepared meals, warm showers, and the sound of the wild all around. And for the ultimate reset? A cold plunge pool and yoga room are at your disposal.

Launching December 2024, with the 2024/25 season already sold out, this journey is for the adventurer seeking not just distance but depth – a chance to walk all three capes, breathe in Tasmania’s raw beauty, and feel the earth beneath your feet in a way that will linger long after you’ve left.

The Five-Day Three Capes Adventure Walk launches in December 2024, with the 2024/25 season completely sold out. To make a booking for the 2025/26 season, visit the Tasmanian Walking Company website now or contact the team via bookings@taswalkingco or 1300 767 416.
