Damen launched its Adventure 4008 at Fort Lauderdale, a 43-metre adventure yacht with a massive capacity for water craft, toys and independence while global roaming.

The Dutch shipbuilder, Damen, has developed the new Damen Adventure 4008 in response to a number of client enquiries for yachts with far greater carrying capacity for toys, vehicles and tenders. Damen’s new 43-metre sport and adventure yacht is built for die-hard outdoor action and adrenaline lovers and follows the successful introduction of the Damen Yacht Support range and the DAMEN SeaXplorer range of expedition yachts.
The Damen Adventure 4008 was introduced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, 3 to 7 November, where DAMEN exhibited its showcase vessel the 55-metre Fast & Furious.
“There’s nothing else like the Adventure 4008 on the market,” says Rose Damen, Sales Manager at Amels, Damen’s Dutch luxury yacht builder which handles sales and marketing for the Adventure 4008.
“The 40 to 50-metre yachts on the market just don’t fit the bill for these clients. They don’t want to compromise on the gear they love – big, 30-foot tenders and fast boats up to 60 knots, submarines, helicopters or sport aircraft. Not only can they carry it all on their Adventure 4008, but they can also bring their friends and family and live the adventure in comfort and style.”

The Adventure 4008 is equipped to facilitate the ultimate adventure weekend. An owner can send the Adventure 4008 ahead and meet it with a private jet and helicopter. They can heli-ski with friends in Alaska, or sport fish with the kids in the Bahamas, or surf on the Baja Peninsula and then be back in the board room by Monday.
Damen originally developed the SEA AXE hull shape for the offshore, defence and security markets and has included it in the design for the Adventure 4008.

It’s a no-nonsense yacht – very reliable. Plus, as part of the SEA AXE family, we have a smooth and finely tuned production and that means on time and on budget delivery in just a matter of months.”
Key features of the DAMEN Adventure 4008 include more carrying capacity than any other comparable yacht – a 140 square-metre artificial teak deck for a helicopter up to 3.7-tonne maximum take-off weight, and still plenty of room for tenders, submersible, vehicles or other toys.
The accommodation can be configured up to five cabin layout for eight guests. The vessel has a 5,000-mile range and ocean-going capability with proven SEA AXE hull design for comfort and performance, zero-speed stabilisers, and a top speed of 24 knots.
