Marilyn Monroe lived on and off at the Beverly Hills Hotel in bungalows one and seven and then in 20 and 21 with Yves Montand when she was filming Let’s Make love.  She would often dine at table six in the Polo Lounge.

The iconic bungalows hosted many Hollywood Royalty including Howard Hughes who spent over thirty years in Bungalow four, Lauren Bacall who lived in Bungalow ten while filming Designing Woman at the hotel with Gregory Peck in 1956, and Marlene Dietrich calling the hotel home for several years.

The bungalows were recently restored and have been designed to enhance the modern Californian style while maintaining the property’s existing residential feel. Colour palettes have been inspired by warm Southern California tones, such as rust, pinks, greens and golds. Furniture styles include a mix of tailored 40s French and Hollywood Regency. Key finishes include decorative wallpapers, custom embroidered panels, hand-stencilled patterns, intricate floor inlays, and silk accent pillows. State-of-the-art technological upgrades, such as light and temperature control panels and premier Bang Olufsen TVs, were also made.
