The Columbus Yachts shipyard, part of Italy’s Palumbo Group, has launched the first yacht in the Columbus Atlantique 43 series. Two further units will be delivered to their respective owners by the middle of the year.

The launching ceremony of the Atlantique 43-metre Night Fury II took place in the presence of the owner and his family at the Palumbo shipyard in Italy.

The Columbus Atlantique 43m, built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, has exteriors and interiors designed by Hot Lab. Palumbo Superyachts, in collaboration with the Hydro Tec studio, is responsible for naval engineering.

The external lines are said to be reminiscent of a shell, with no sharp edges, maintaining soft and aggressive lines that lend this motor yacht a natural elegance.

M/Y Night Fury II is designed with the owner and his family in mind. It is characterised by large external areas that blend with generous internal space. The internal areas of the main and upper deck offer total contact with the surrounding landscape.

The “sailing-type” stern of the Atlantique 43m is perhaps its most characterising space. An aft-facing C-shaped seat surrounds the scenic central swimming pool. The whole area is very low on the water thanks to the choice of “digging” into the stern; which is 50cm above the sea surface.

Thanks to the addition of two fold-out side wings, there is the perception of being in direct contact with the water.

The lower deck houses four double cabins, two VIP cabins with en-suite bathrooms on the hull sides, and two twin cabins.

The forward area of the lower deck is dedicated to the crew and provides four double cabins, all with bathrooms, a crew mess, and a laundry area.

The 5.5m tender is stored at the stern where the starboard side garage is. An area has been dedicated to the second tender (rescue boat) and two jet skis, at the main deck forward.

Powered by 2 Cat C32 Acert of 970kW, Columbus Atlantique 43 can reach a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14.5 knots.

The Columbus Yachts brand was established in 2011. It offers four different lines: Atlantique, Sport, Classic and Crossover, in addition to custom projects.
Columbus Yachts is part of the Palumbo Superyachts network, which also includes the ISA Yachts, Mondomarine and Extra Yachts brands.
