AMEL will display the AMEL 50 and AMEL 60 at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival, 6 to 11 September.

European Yacht of the Year in 2018 and winner of Sail Best Boats in 2020, the AMEL 50 was designed to offer maximum pleasure and simplicity.

The AMEL 50 pushes the boundaries but remains faithful to the brand’s fundamentals.

Comfort, safety and ease of use combine with performance and a desire for innovation. With this model, the shipyard broadens the scope of use and opens up new prospects at sea.

While not aiming to compete with racing yachts, the AMEL 50 promises superb sensations, allowing owners to choose the way they use their boat. A family weekend away, a getaway for two along the coast or a cruise on the high seas – the AMEL 50 is all this at once.

“We’re very honoured and grateful that the Amel 50 won the award of European Yacht of the Year in the Luxury Cruiser category,” said Emmanuel Poujeade, Chief executive of the AMEL shipyards.

“Above all, we are very happy for the whole team at the Amel Yard, because everybody has worked with a real commitment and much enthusiasm, and we hope that the success of the Amel 50 will keep on growing.”

The AMEL 60, winner of European Yacht of the Year in 2020, offers many more advantages than just the extra 10 feet that differentiate her from the AMEL 50: more volume and fittings, more details and modern technology to increase comfort at sea and at anchor.

French naval architects Berret-Racoupeau have once again refined every specification to design a yacht that guarantees the ultimate onboard lifestyle.

With its new yacht, AMEL firmly asserts its position as a unique brand for those who love the sea.

The generous volumes of this large sailboat have been designed to allow owners and their guests to enjoy life on board, while preserving privacy: a large living space, a high-end kitchen, three cabins each with a bathroom, a protected cockpit, spacious and open decks.

Below decks, the saloon is bright and spacious with expansive hull and roof portlights providing an excellent view. There is a dining table for eight with plush banquet seating as well as a large L-shaped lounge for relaxing.

The galley is fully equipped with large workspaces, generous storage, and Miele appliances to please the most exacting chef.

The lavish forward owners cabin with a large central bed and ensuite with a separate shower provides a stylish retreat after a day’s sailing. Guests are stylishly accommodated in the two double aft cabins each with ensuite.

Finished in a choice of light oak or American walnut with a matt varnish with high-end upholstery, life on board the AMEL 60 is akin to a luxury boutique hotel at sea.

The AMEL 60 is dedicated to enjoying time at sea. The deep centralised cockpit is designed for comfort and ease. All controls come back to the portside helm station for ease and convenience. Forward and side windscreens offer exceptional panoramic views and make for a pleasant sailing experience.

The hardtop with sunroof allows the breeze to flow freely, providing protection from the elements when needed. Generous lounge seating and a foldaway teak table make entertaining a joy.

Double sun loungers on the aft deck and a large swim platform are the ultimate spaces to relax and connect with the ocean.

In addition to its layout and refined design, AMEL 60 is rich in technical assets, such as its rig, consisting of a new carbon mast, which increases its performance and comfort at sea. Naturally, the strong values of the shipyard, such as safety and ease of manoeuvre are needed with this new model.

The heartbeat of the AMEL 60, the Volvo 4-cylinder 180 hp low-speed diesel engine, is housed in the unique centre engine room which is watertight, fully insulated from the interior and provides easy access for service. The central engine room is akin to a superyacht and houses all the boat’s machinery, providing a quiet, tranquil environment for all passengers.

Fully designed and manufactured in La Rochelle, each yacht is delivered by an AMEL technician, with a week’s familiarisation so new owners can truly appreciate their superb new yacht.

The AMEL 50 and 60 models will be on display at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival.
