Nicky Vaux, boat owner, marina entrepreneur, board member of the Marina Industries Association and strong advocate for boating has released a podcast series under her pseudonym, The Boat Princess.

In this series, Nicky shares her valuable insight and experiences in boating and interviews notable members of the boating industry and lifestyle.

With a personal goal to engage more women in the industry and get more women behind the helm, she delivers entertainment and insights, diving deep into the characters she speaks to in order to understand how and why they came to the world of boating.

To kick off with a trailblazer, in her first episode she interviews Kay Cottee, the first lady of Australia who sailed around the world unassisted without stopping.

The focus of Nicky’s interviews is not just about what the women she interviews have achieved, but why. She delves into each person’s real attributes and their advice for women and men looking to enter the boating world.

“My aim is to allow listeners to escape to the world of boating so they can learn from the experts about boating and inspire those who’ve never considered a career on the waterways to put it on their radar.

“From industry jargon to our wide scope of career opportunities, there’s an incredible amount of subject matter to explore. I can’t wait to share it with the world,” explains Nicky.

Guests include superyacht crew, managers of major marina operations, CEOs, clinical psychologists, boat brokers, marine suppliers, boating publishers and women who hold leading positions in the industry throughout the world as well as new boat owners and experienced ones, too.

“The amount of interest we’ve received to date has been incredibly exciting. I’m thrilled to interview so many women and men in the world of boating and share their stories, knowledge and experiences.”
