Watches of Switzerland have confirmed that the brand will expand its western presence with a new 280-square metre flagship boutique based in the heart of Perth.
Located in the upmarket Raine Square, the West Australian city’s premier retail, dining and entertainment precinct, this decision reflects both a contemporary approach to boutique design as well as the brand’s decades-long commitment to Perth’s luxury market.
Watches of Switzerland first established a presence in the world’s most isolated city over 23 years ago when the brand opened their King Street boutique – their first brick-and-mortar location – in 1997.
Key features of this new location include the bronze surrounds, French parquet floors and the extensive use of natural stone. Present in the main watch room are a silver leaf ceiling and feature lighting, created by award-winning design studio, Volker Haug.
To highlight the space being the only location for both Rolex and Cartier watches, the new boutique with also include dedicated areas for these icons.
Other globally-renowned brands such as A. Lange & Söhne, Blancpain, Breitling, Hublot, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Officine Panerai, Tudor, Vacheron Constantin and Montres Breguet will also sold from the space.
This will be the first time Montres Breguet will be available from a Perth-based retail space.
Founded in 1997 Eric van der Griend, Watches of Australia is one of the country’s leading boutique timepiece retailers with stores across Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Perth.
Following a decade of importing Swiss timepieces, Watches of Switzerland opened their first boutique in Perth in the year of their founding.
