Wally has expanded its wallywhy range with the introduction of the wallywhy100, a 21-metre yacht designed as the entry-level model for the line.
The yacht made its international debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 and follows the wallywhy150 and the wallywhy200, continuing the range’s focus on maximising interior space while maintaining sleek, modern aesthetics in the sub-24-metre market.
The wallywhy100 features a wide-body hull and a sheer bow, which helps to enhance stability and provide internal volumes comparable to larger yachts. Its single-level design integrates a stealth-style glass superstructure, offering uninterrupted sightlines and a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor areas.
The layout also ensures smooth movement from the saloon to the deck and onto the sea terrace, supporting a lifestyle close to the water. At 21.46 metres in length and with a beam of 5.73 metres, the yacht maximises space and functionality.
The aft section incorporates a 14-metre-squared bathing platform with hydraulic capabilities for launching tenders and water toys up to 3.6 metres. Two fold-down wings expand the terrace space by nearly 50 percent, offering enhanced usability and unobstructed views. These features, combined with a hydraulic passerelle-swim ladder, provide easier access to the water or dock.
The interior, designed by Vallicelli Design Studio, blends modern materials with a minimalistic aesthetic. Carbon fibre accents complement wooden panelling and pale upholstery, with indirect lighting enhancing the contemporary feel.
The main deck has a glass superstructure that allows natural light to flood the dining and lounging areas, which can accommodate 6 to 8 guests at a table and on deep sofas beneath the hardtop.
Below deck, the wallywhy100 offers an owner’s cabin spanning the full beam amidships, with large hull windows providing expansive views. The cabin includes a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a smart glass partition that turns opaque for privacy.
Two additional ensuite guest cabins, one configured as a double and the other as a twin, provide flexibility. Separate crew quarters for two, along with a forward galley, help ensure privacy and functionality for both guests and crew.
Wally says that performance remains a key consideration in the wallywhy100 design.
Equipped with Volvo Penta IPS1350 (1000 hp) engines, the yacht achieves a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. With a cruising range of 340 nautical miles, the wallywhy100 is well-suited for extended passages. The design prioritises efficiency and comfort over extreme speeds, with the hull optimised for smooth, sea-friendly operation.
Luca Bassani, Wally’s founder and chief designer, describes the wallywhy100 as continuing the innovative approach of its predecessors. “The new wallywhy100 takes the radical ideas behind the bigger boats in the line and reimagines them to create a high-volume, open-plan yacht for sharing special moments with friends on the water,” he says.
Wally, founded in 1994, is part of the Italian boating giant Ferretti Group.
