SwimTrek joins forces with Galápagos Conservation Trust for crucial conservation efforts.

SwimTrek, the preeminent purveyor of aquatic escapades, has joined hands with the Galápagos Conservation Trust (GCT).

This newly forged alliance will see SwimTrek contributing 1 percent of its revenue from the Galápagos Explorer Trip to bolster GCT’s essential conservation endeavours in the Galápagos Islands.

Galapagos Conservation Trust

The Galápagos Conservation Trust (GCT) is the sole UK charity dedicated exclusively to conserving the Galápagos Islands – one of the planet’s most unique and ecologically significant, yet vulnerable, regions.

Home to 80 percent of its land birds and 97 percent of its mammals and reptiles found nowhere else on earth, the Galápagos is facing a critical threat, with over 80 species now Endangered or Critically Endangered.

For nearly three decades, GCT has been at the forefront of raising funds and awareness, delivering impactful conservation projects in collaboration with Ecuadorian authorities, local communities, scientists, and other NGOs.

GCT’s conservation efforts are consolidated into two ecosystem-level programs – Islands and Oceans – aligned with international biodiversity and climate targets for 2030.
