Sunseeker is taking a fleet of yachts to the French Riviera for this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. The 2024 edition, which takes place from 10 to 15 September, will showcase the newest designs and technical innovations on the market.

British shipyard Sunseeker will present a nine-strong lineup of yachts ranging from 55 to 100 feet (17 to 30 metres), headlined by the all-new Predator 55 making its world debut.

“Rooted in performance, the Predator 55 is a thoroughbred Sunseeker,” says Andrea Frabetti, chief executive at Sunseeker International.

“The launch of this fun yacht is a significant milestone for our brand. Of course, the Predator 55 is one of nine world-leading yachts in the Sunseeker fleet ready to impress visitors at the world’s finest yachting event in the Mediterranean.”

Predator 55

The 55-foot (17-metre) Predator 55 yacht, the latest performance yacht to join the Sunseeker Predator range, has a distinctive curved silhouette and sloping hardtop design.

The yacht is powered by Volvo Penta IPS 950 engines that deliver 1,450 horsepower, giving a top speed of 36 knots. Notable features include retractable glazing and a carbon fibre sunroof that exposes the sky above. The yacht has an integrated tender garage for a Williams TurboJet 325, a hydraulic bathing platform and an aft sunpad.

The Predator 55 also has an expansive aft cockpit with newly styled exterior seating.

The aft retractable doors connect the galley side units with the cockpit wet bar. An upholstered sofa, L-shaped seating, and a formal dining area with an expandable table offer different options for socialising.

The foredeck also features comfortable seating, a sunpad with integrated storage and a carbon fibre sail canopy for sun protection. A gyro option reduces rolling at anchor.

The customisable interior layout allows for flexibility, such as relocating the main deck galley to the lower deck to accommodate additional seating and a rise-and-fall TV. The lower deck space can also be converted into a twin cabin with an en suite, accommodating up to six guests.

The Predator 55 introduces a new interior fabric and finishes collection, developed in collaboration with Design Unlimited. It offers a versatile colour scheme and materials palette tailored to each owner’s preferences.

Sunseeker’s full lineup at Cannes 2024 currently comprises the Superhawk 55, Predator 55, Manhattan 55, Manhattan 68, 75 Sport Yacht, 76 Yacht, 88 Yacht, 90 Ocean and 100 Yacht.
