Tankoa Yachts has introduced the T520 Fenice, named for the famous opera house in Venice and the second model designed by Enrico Gobbi. This follows the 2022 launch of the T680 Fenice – named after the famous opera house in Venice.

The new yacht is a 52-metre vessel that retains the characteristics of its predecessor, such as elegant design, generous interior spaces and a focus on craftsmanship.

“We once again asked Enrico Gobbi of the Venetian studio Team for Design to compose this second masterpiece, which not only sits perfectly in the 50-metre segment where Tankoa has always been very strong, but which also further highlights our capabilities as a true boutique shipyard able to satisfy every need with unique projects,” says Vincenzo Poerio, CEO at Tankoa.

The T520 Fenice features contemporary classic yacht design with influences from both automotive and aeronautical styling.

The yacht combines these design elements with a focus on proportionality, integrating interior and exterior spaces. Key areas, such as the guest area at the stern, are designed to blend into the overall profile.

“This second model in the Fenice range revisits several key elements of the T680’s exterior design, with a particular focus on proportions,” says Enrico Gobbi, CEO of Team for Design.

“This careful attention to proportional design has meant sleek, elegant and dynamic lines while offering spacious and generous areas on board – a significant achievement that considerably enhances the owner and guest experience.”

“These streamlined forms are reminiscent of jet and automotive aesthetics, imparting a feeling of lightness and agility,” says Gobbi.

“The grey hull, with anthracite accents, further underscores the influence of car design, while maintaining the luxurious appeal of a superyacht.”

The T520 Fenice’s design includes a stern area that incorporates multiple levels, each with distinct functions. The panoramic cockpit overlooks an infinity pool, flanked by two large sunpads. The pool’s watercourse connects it to the beach club below, which can be accessed via optional transverse stairs between the cockpit and pool. This design links the cockpit, beach club, swim platform and lower-deck gym in a cohesive three-dimensional space.

The gym, which has views of the water feature, offers a flexible space for relaxation, complemented by an interior lounge and a digital sculpture inspired by the flow of water.

The yacht’s sundeck includes a semi-enclosed saloon with dining and bar areas. There is space for a forward spa pool or observation cockpit, as well as aft seating and sunpads. The foredeck features a lounge area and a pool, while the upper deck includes an alfresco dining area for 12 and a lounge space.

The upper saloon includes a fifth VIP guest cabin behind the bridge, with the captain’s cabin also located on this deck for operational efficiency. On the main deck, the aft saloon and formal dining area are adjacent to the guest lobby, leading to the owner’s full-beam suite, which includes a study area, a main cabin with a private terrace, and an ensuite that can be configured in various ways.

The lower deck accommodates four ensuite guest double cabins amidships, while the forward area is designated for the crew. The yacht’s foredeck garage houses a 6.5-metre guest tender, a crew tender and water toys. The aft beach club and gym area include two opening hull side hatches to enhance the view and connect the space to the outside. Selecting the optional transverse stairway leads to a sunken cockpit lounge near the beach club entrance.

“The yacht’s design emphasises large and flexible environments, such as the extended flybridge with glass panels, adaptable to various uses depending on the owner’s preferences,” says Gobbi.

“Among these is a skylounge with aft-opening doors, as well as a generous foredeck area with a spectacular forward-facing pool, accessible to all guests and linked to the aft lounge area.”

The interior and exterior spaces are designed to blend together through large glass windows.

Materials like teak are used throughout to add a sense of continuity across the layout, while uninterrupted decks and continuous ceilings enhance the yacht’s spaciousness.

“This new yacht shows once again that interweaving numerous melodies in terms of design and functionality while still offering owners flexibility for personalising their yacht to their needs is a core strength that differentiates Tankoa in the market,” says Giuseppe Mazza, sales manager at Tankoa.

“She is another virtuoso performance, perfect for discerning owners who enjoy the quiet refinement we offer that enables us to cater to their every need while delivering a unique yacht of unsurpassed quality.”
