This year’s Sydney International Boat Show schedule promises an exciting line-up of activities and events hosted by the BIA.
This will include the Marine Careers Open Day on the first day, involving more than 600 high school students from around the region, who are interested in finding out more about careers in the boating and marine industries.
The BIA Stand in the ICC will also share information on Marine Careers and Discover Boating every day of the show, from 10 am to 7 pm.
At 8 am on Friday 2 August, the show will officially open, hosting 300 guests in the ICC, followed by another Careers Open Day session for school students.
From 10 am, there will be a Sustainability Forum, featuring an ICOMIA presentation and speakers on the end of life of vessels, and more.
The TAFE Awards will be held that evening, celebrating the skills and trades in NSW.
With over 200 exhibitors, 600 boats on display, a show-stopping line-up of entertainment and activities, the Sydney International Boat Show is a must-do event.
Each day during SIBS 2024, the Discover Sailing & Paddling Hub, located between the marina and the ICC, will hold free presentations and interviews with leading experts from various arenas in sailing.
Learn everything there is to know about how life on the water could work for you with a range of sailing and paddling options for every level of interest. If you aren’t involved in the sailing and paddling world already, it can be intimidating to consider trying something new, but these sports are more accessible than you might think.
The Discover Sailing and Paddling Hub is the perfect place to find a course, club or friend that could help you get started in sailing or begin your boating journey through paddling.
Inside the ICC, the Main Stage is the place to learn about all things fishing at the 2024 Sydney International Boat Show.
With a daily line-up hosted by Channel 7’s Fishing, Boating and Weather Expert and host of Step Outside with Paul Burt seen every day on 7mate, the stage will also feature Peter ‘PJ’ Johnson, Rhys Creed, Tim Simpson, Justin Duggan, Doug Burt, Greg Reid, Andrew ‘ET’ Ettingshausen and more.
The Shimano Fishing Tank Show returns, presented by fishing expert, Dave ‘Mossy’ Moss sharing his tips and tricks. There will be giveaways and prizes from Shimano, Lowrance and Gamakatsu.
Then there’s the Boating Safety Zone, also on level 1 of the ICC. Transport for NSW are the event’s Partner in Safety responsible for promoting safe and enjoyable boating on NSW waterways.
Transport and its key safety partners will be on-site at the Boating Safety Zone, to answer questions and provide visitors with the latest information for a safe and enjoyable time out on the water.
The 2024 Sydney International Boat Show runs from 1 to 4 August at Darling Harbour, Cockle Bay and the ICC.
Ocean Media will again exhibit on the marina within the Ocean Club Lounge and the team is looking forward to catching up with owners, advertisers and colleagues.
