“As recently presented by the Superyachttimes.com during the first Asia-Pacific’s Superyacht Forum held in early June in Hong Kong, in 2024 there are 423 superyachts above 30-metres owned in Asia-Pacific region with 34 percent of them located in Australia and 5 percent in New Zealand. This is significantly more than the second largest market represented by Hong Kong at 22 percent.
“These numbers, along with a strong boating pedigree and yachting culture in Australia gives us confidence for the growth of Sanlorenzo in Australia and neighbouring New Zealand.”
Nick Stratton, Chief Sales Officer of Simpson Marine Group, added “We see immense potential in Australia as the Sanlorenzo Pacific Hub.
“Our tailored approach to yacht design and craftsmanship resonates with clients seeking bespoke solutions and yachts with long-range capacity and elevated lifestyle at sea. With our expanded presence and a wide range of yachts through Sanlorenzo (24 to 80-metres+) and sister brand Bluegame (13 to 24-metres), we’re well-positioned to meet their needs.
“With many years of experience in new and brokerage yacht sales, charter and services in Australia, Joachim Howard becomes Simpson Marine Australia Country Sales Manager effective immediately.
“Notable yachts to arrive in Sydney are the country’s first Bluegame BGX63 and the Sanlorenzo SD90 that will be officially premiering together with the Sanlorenzo Australia office opening later this year.
“Ahead of that, our team attended the Sydney International Boat Show, 1 to 4 August to consolidate the local team and officially launch the market expansion.”
