Next Yacht Group has expanded its portfolio with two distinctive new launches – the Maiora 36 Exuma and AB 130 – showcasing the breadth of its design, engineering and customisation expertise.

Designed to meet different yet complementary owner needs: on the one hand, the Maiora brand’s 36 Exuma is an expression of a new philosophy of living at sea characterised by freedom and connection with the surrounding environment; while the other – the AB 130 – is the flagship of the AB Yachts brand, representing excellence in high-performance sailing, and embodying the Group’s most sporty and high-performance vision.

The two new yachts demonstrate the shipyard’s ability to simultaneously develop projects that are distinct in concept, style, and use, while maintaining the same high standards of quality, technology, and craftsmanship that characterise its entire production.

At 36.90 metres in length with a draft of just 1.45 metres, the Maiora 36 Exuma offers generous outdoor living.

Commenting, Fabio Giangrasso, COO of Next Yacht Group said: “The delivery of the AB 130 and the Maiora 36 Exuma represents a significant achievement for our shipyard.

He added: “We met our objectives on schedule, maintaining product quality, performance, and an obsessive attention to detail on board as our top priorities. We are pleased to have fully met the needs of the respective owners, confirming the shipyard’s ability to guarantee high standards both technically and in production.

The team is motivated, united, and ready to tackle the new challenges ahead with determination.”

For Maiora, the launch marks the second unit of the 36 Exuma, an evolution of a model that has achieved significant international success and introduced a new interpretation of life at sea.

The result of a collaboration between the shipyard, Quartostile and Acube Design, the 36 Exuma ushers in a new generation of yachts designed to redefine the relationship between people and the marine environment.

With an overall length of 36.90 metres and a draft of just 1.45 metres, the Maiora 36 Exuma is designed to offer an uncompromising cruising experience, allowing access to bays, harbours and shallow waters normally difficult to reach for yachts in this category.

Its clean lines, sleek profile and interior layout reflect a contemporary vision of yachting, focused on a stronger connection with the sea and a freer, more natural way of life on board.

From a technical standpoint, the 36 Exuma combines high performance with efficiency, thanks to a configuration featuring three 2,000-hp MAN V12 engines paired with two MJP steerable waterjets and a central MJP booster.

This setup enables a top speed of 33 knots, while ensuring manoeuvrability and comfort. Gyroscopic stabilisers, operational both at anchor and underway, complete the profile of a yacht designed for owners who want to combine exploration, comfort and performance.

AB Yachts has long been synonymous with speed, innovation and technological research. With the launch of the third unit of the AB 130, the brand takes another step forward in the evolution of its range.

As the flagship of the series, the AB 130 represents a new frontier for the shipyard in terms of design, livability and technology.

With an overall length of 39.65 metres, the AB 130 embodies the evolution of the brand’s sporty DNA through expanded volumes, a more striking presence and architectural clarity that enhances the relationship between interior and exterior spaces.

The elongated silhouette, taut lines and advanced waterjet propulsion system give rise to a yacht designed for owners who want to transform speed into a form of contemporary luxury.

The AB 130 also introduces a new concept of onboard spaces. Large windows in the completely redesigned saloon increase natural light and strengthen the connection with the sea, while the spacious sundeck and open-air cinema allow guests to enjoy the outdoor areas at any time of day.

At the bow is a refined lounge dedicated to relaxation, while at the stern, retractable side wings significantly expand the beach area, creating a fully equipped waterside platform for leisure and socialising.

Among the yacht’s distinctive features is a propulsion system comprising two MJP steerable waterjets and a central MJP booster, paired with three 2,600-hp MTU engines.

Next Yacht Group launched a new version of another vessel, the Maiora 30 in Italy last year, and AB Yachts announced the sale of another unit of its AB125 – a new model at the time – in 2023. The AB125, an evolution of the AB120, is a sporty, alluring 39-metre-long (128-foot) vessel with a beam of 7.5 metres (24 feet).
