“VIS” is the brainchild of a completely innovative project, based on the metamorphosis of one of the main branches that are part of Fincantieri DNA: modern naval ships.
Even the name of the project, which is meant to be incisive and vigorous, recalls the Latin language used precisely for the mottoes of the ships that the Group builds for the Italian Navy.
At 80.8-metres LOA, with a beam of 14.2-metres and Gross tonnage around 2,470, VIS boasts seven cabins for a guest capacity of 14 Crew and crew of 23. Her range at 12 knots is 5,000 nautical miles.
According to designers, “VIS” represents the perfect combination of advanced technology, well-established heritage and sophisticated architectural solutions, such as folding-out terraces, wide panoramic social areas and solar panels that embody the quintessence of design as a combination of shape and function.
The concept was developed by Fincantieri Yachts in partnership with the Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski’s studio.
Fincantieri established itself on the market as a top player in the designing and building of 100- metre+ full custom yachts.
Since 2005, when the company was established, it has delivered 134-metre Serene (2011) and 140-metre Ocean Victory (2014), which are the clear evidence that the top quality is the target and a fundamental value of the product independently form the size of the ships.
Fincantieri has channeled significant resources in this market niche, gaining important results starting from the creation of Fincantieri Yachts, the Group’s dedicated business unit. Counting on Fincantieri’s 230 years’ experience in shipbuilding, the company’s yacht unit offers unparalleled levels of design, style, reliability and quality in building 70-metre vessels.
