Apreamare has introduced the Maestro 88, a semi-planing yacht measuring over 27 metres, making it the largest vessel produced by the Sorrento-based shipyard.
The Maestro 88 is a collaboration between architect Marco Casali and engineer Umberto Tagliavini. Designed to balance safety, comfort and a high quality of life on board, the project builds on the lineage of the Maestro line while integrating updated design elements.
According to Apreamare, the Maestro line originated at the 2005 Genoa Boat Show, where Cataldo Aprea conceived a motor yacht prioritising safety, comfort and style.
This legacy has now culminated in the Maestro 88, developed for an owner seeking a larger yacht capable of long voyages in various weather conditions. The yacht remains below the 24-metre regulatory threshold while providing significant space and functionality.
The Maestro 88 features a semi-planing hull, designed by Umberto Tagliavini, that ensures stability and comfort in diverse sea conditions. The vessel cruises comfortably at 18 knots and can reach a maximum speed of over 22 knots.
The standard propulsion setup includes two 1,600-hp MAN engines, providing a range of approximately 1,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. The first unit is equipped with larger 2,000-hp MAN engines, optimised for long-range efficiency and quiet operation.
The exterior lines, created by Marco Casali of Too Design, integrate expansive glazing that maximises natural light and enhances visual connections to the sea. Notable features include a large aft deck, a spacious beach club and a bow lounge.
The flybridge offers multiple relaxation areas and includes a T-Top with integrated solar panels to support onboard systems. A transom garage accommodates a 4-metre tender and additional water toys.
The interiors are fully customisable, with options for up to five cabins and two crew quarters for a total of four crew members. The first hull includes four cabins, four bathrooms, a studio and a relaxation area featuring an electric piano.
Decor incorporates marine-inspired elements, such as teak finishes and white slatted ceilings, with furnishings supplied by Poltrona Frau. The Italian design house contributes sofas, chairs and tables crafted from premium materials, enhancing the refined yet welcoming atmosphere.
Apreamare says the Maestro 88 reflects its approach as a boutique shipyard, blending artisanal craftsmanship with modern customisation capabilities.
Each yacht is tailored to the owner’s preferences and is supported by a wide selection of materials and finishes.
