Brazilian builder, MCP Yachts has launched the Seaview 40M – currently the largest superyacht by volume created in Brazil, featuring a modern and innovative design that offers exceptional sea views.
Developed and detailed through the long established partnership between MCP Yachts and the leading Dutch naval architecture and design firm, Vripack, Seaview follows the path set by the MCP 37.4M and adds to the growing fleet of MCP-built superyachts.
Called Hygge, (meaning cosy and contented in Danish) this latest launch strengthens the shipyard’s presence on the global stage, after Queen Tati’s noteworthy nomination for the 2024 BOAT International World Superyacht Awards and 2024 Superyacht Design & Innovation Awards.
“Hygge is built with a full-aluminium hull that allows for unmatched internal volume, lightness, and autonomy,” commented Damien Chaves, Director of Engineering at MCP Yachts.
“She’s a 40-metre superyacht that offers the comfort of a 50-metre, yet with draft and lightness features that allow owners a more dynamic, versatile, and sustainable range for global exploration.”
“Hygge is both a progression of previous Vripack-designed yachts built by MCP Yachts, and marks an important step in our continued collaboration with the shipyard and its team,” added Bart M Bouwhuis, Co-creative Director, Vripack.
“We’ve seen the exceptional build quality they can deliver and we were confident of this larger vessel meeting, if not surpassing, the previous impressive standards that were showcased by the award-nominated M/Y Queen Tati.
“The design of M/Y Hygge is distinctly attuned to the owner’s lifestyle and requirements, with a versatile accommodation plan and space for large, social occasions. This is a yacht that will bring family and friends together in comfort for cruises along the Brazilian coast and adventures elsewhere.”
