SACS Marine Queensland has opened on the Gold Coast, welcoming the state’s first Maxi RIB in the form of the Italian-built SACS Sport S900 – a versatile 22-person dayboat or tender that has already generated significant interest.

Queensland dealer, Levi Duncan has established the SACS Queensland HQ at the strategic location of The Boat Works at the entrance to the Coomera Marine Precinct on the Gold Coast.

Duncan, who has been based at The Boat Works with his other business, Ocean Degree Yacht Services celebrated the arrival of their first stock boat with a flurry of sea trials and several outings on the Broadwater.

“The SACS range of RIBS is perfectly adapted to the Queensland boating lifestyle and conditions,” he says. “We have shallow, tidal waterways in many places and the SACS RIBS are built extremely tough, with all the speed you need to get where you’re going.”

The Sport S900 is the work of acclaimed designer Christian Grande, and features the same hydrodynamic lines of the SACS range that deliver unrivalled performance and safety.

The design of the console and deck enhances the onboard space and liveability. Thise new Sport Class model is characterised by sleek hull design and eye-catching colour treatment.

“Like all SACS RIBS, the customer can fully customise their boat with any options, including colour combinations, storage, tow poles, targas, barbeque, fridge, any navigation and sound system you wish – the lot,” said Duncan.

“The S900 comes with a WC and shower and has space for 22 people. The stability of the tubes means you can take it offshore whale watching or equally enjoy family boating within the Broadwater.

“The main drawcards are its quality construction and performance. Plus the Italian pedigree makes it a great looking boat.”

For its first weekend on the Gold Coast, Levi will be taking out the Sport S900 for a typical weekend on the water: “Breakfast at Marina Mirage, back to Jumpinpin for a swim, some friends onboard to share some cold Peronis!”

The team at SACS Marine Queensland is looking forward to attending all the boat shows to showcase the current boats in the local line-up, including the Strider 10, Strider 7 and more stock boats coming in 2017.
