Atoll Estates has revealed plans for the development of Zamani Islands, a five-star lifestyle destination in the Maldives that includes the region’s first superyacht marina.

Set within 500 hectares of a natural lagoon, the Zamani Islands retreat will span eight islands and feature three exclusive resorts, a collection of lavish private residences and amenities such as health spas and the first medical spa in the Maldives, as well as the Maldives’ first superyacht marina and yacht club.
Atoll Estates brought in resort master planner Killa Design to turn its ambitious plans into reality.
Atoll Estates founders, Amit Majumder and Dmitry Bourtov aim to build the first 100-percent clean, renewable energy-powered resort in the Maldives.
According to Majumder and Bourtov, 100 percent of the energy used across all eight islands will come from renewable sources while waste will be reduced wherever possible. Other green initiatives include growing the resort’s food wherever possible and putting in place an active coral relocation program during the build and after construction.

“Zamani Islands is a project more than two years in the making,” they stated. “It was our intention from the outset to conceive a resort with sustainability truly at its heart that will do good for both people and place.
“Within this framework, Zamani Islands will also set new standards for a lifestyle destination both within the Maldives and globally.
“We’re redefining what’s possible in the Maldives while respecting the unique natural environment of the setting, creating a harmony between nature and luxury. We’re excited to share further details of Zamani Islands as the project develops.”
Designed by revered architect, YoDezeen, 14 private estates are currently available to purchase including a selection of secluded beachfront residences spanning between four and eight bedrooms. While details remain sparse for the time being, renderings reveal sleek, modern homes thoughtfully designed around their island location.
Each villa features multiple private pools, a personal spa, a screening room and sprawling terraces overlooking the Indian Ocean. Best of all, the residences at Zamani Islands come with a personal butler to cater to owners’ every need and a private berth at the resort’s superyacht marina with full-service facilities including crew amenities, maintenance and a yacht club.
Guests and residents will have access to three spas and an array of dining establishments, including what Atoll Estates promises will be the Maldives’ largest underwater restaurant.
