White Beach Club Pty Ltd, was inspired by sanctuaries the team of Michael Gooding and Shirley Puth have visited over the years and across the Pacific. The team has been successful in creating brands such as Silentworld Charters and this same teamwork has launched the new fashion label.
“White Beach is the brand we have chosen to launch as the initial collection, and symbolises what we all envision as remote tropical locations and paradise,” said Michael Gooding.
“The brand theme combines our unique perspective on how we feel, what we wear and how we behave. The brand has been the culmination of exposure to extreme luxury, in dreamy scenes, and combined with the humanity of the many people we have met.”
Michael Gooding has been a yacht Captain for 30 years and called the Pacific home for 20 years before that. “It is only recently that I have come ashore and dared to venture into other realms, but still associated with the Pacific and what she represents,” he commented.
“The Pacific has so much to offer, and this is a way for me to share what we see as paradise. When we think of all the island nations across the Pacific it brings to mind remote islands with sandy shores, both black and white.
‘Home for the team at White Beach stretched from Australia and Papua New Guinea in the West, to French Polynesia and Pitcairn Island to the East, and all the islands in between.”
Over the many years, the team have lived their lives in T-shirts, shorts and pareos, and have found there can be a combination of luxury and strength. “This insight of beach attire, has led us to personally shape the current collection, and this will continue.
“The fabric that we use for the shirt collection is a heavier with a softer weave than the average shirt. Most shirts are made with a lighter 120 gsm fabric, whereas the current collection is made from 200 gsm woven cotton to provide the luxurious and long-lasting feel we love.
“We’ve designed the collection keeping in mind the unique qualities of available fabrics including cotton, hemp and rami, which is made from cactus.
“It is this unique blend of luxury and connection with the essence of the Pacific that has been the inspiration – the Pacific has a mana or spirit, which has the ability to create a fresh state of mind.”
All items have been designed inhouse by Michael and Shirley and show the attention to detail that has inspired luxury brands across the globe. This is the first of other collections already on the design table.
“The collection is just in its infancy and there are already new designs on the design floor,” Michael added. “All the pieces of the collection are designed inhouse and bring a luxury brand to the place we all call home. The items are designed to bring you to a place where luxury can meet remote environments.”
