The ninth Horizon RP122, named Miss Michelle, has been delivered to its owners in the United States, joining Horizon Yachts’ Raised Pilothouse (RP) Series.
“This RP122 is verified to meet the hull & stability standards of Bureau Veritas and builds on the success of its predecessors,” says Roger Sowerbutts, director at Horizon Yacht USA.
“She carries design elements from our award-winning FD (Fast Displacement) Series, including a high-performance piercing bow that makes for a smooth and efficient ride. Add to that a spacious layout and a thoughtfully conceived fold-out platform in the beach club, and you have a very compelling package.”
Horizon says the yacht’s design incorporates elements for long-range cruising and comfort. The aft deck includes a U-shaped sofa and a teak coffee table with a high-gloss starburst design. A coffee machine is stored to starboard at the owner’s request, and a 43-inch fold-up LED TV and a subwoofer are also integrated into the space.
The main salon features an L-shaped sofa, a neutral colour scheme with ebony and walnut accents, and Thassos-white marble flooring. A fully custom Lutron lighting system is installed here, including overhead RGB lighting.
Entertainment features on Miss Michelle include a 75-inch fold-up TV to starboard and a concealed wet bar.
A custom dining table seats 10 guests and can be separated from the main lounge with an electric partition. The galley, designed to the owner’s specifications, uses Cambriastone and includes dedicated storage.
The main deck foyer is accessed via an electric pocket door and includes a wardrobe.
Miss Michelle’s accommodation includes a full-beam, on-deck master stateroom with a king-sized bed, Corian White Onyx stone headboard, walk-in closets, a vanity, and a mosaic-tiled ensuite with dual vanity sinks.
Below deck, three ensuite guest rooms include a full-beam forward VIP cabin with a king-sized berth, a walk-in closet, and a double vanity sink. Each stateroom has a distinct mosaic colour scheme and walnut accents.
Crew accommodation includes three ensuite cabins for up to six crew members, consisting of a double captain’s cabin and two bunk cabins.
The raised pilothouse, located forward of the flybridge, is equipped with a Furuno navigation system, a custom Stidd helm chair and an L-shaped sofa with a table.
The flybridge includes a second helm station with seating for two, a bar counter with six barstools and a mosaic-patterned front panel. The aft section of the flybridge features a multipurpose dining and entertainment area with eight movable chairs and a Hi/Lo dining table. A projector screen can be used to create an outdoor cinema experience.
The foredeck on Miss Michelle includes seating, a U-shaped settee plus the all-important hot tub.
The beach club, located aft of the engine room, contains a sofa bed, a central coffee table, two movable chairs, and a large TV. The space can be used as an additional stateroom, with a full head and an integrated overhead shower. In addition, a fold-out platform extends to port, providing direct water access, and a Williams tender can be stowed in the garage.
Miss Michelle is powered by twin CAT C32B 2,400hp engines and twin Northern Lights 65kW generators.
