Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour has received full accreditation with Green Globe™ – the world’s leading certification for sustainable operation and management of travel and tourism worldwide.

This accreditation sees the Darling Harbour icon as the first Sofitel hotel in the Pacific region to achieve this level of sustainability excellence.

“As part of the Accor group, we believe it is our role to help shape a more sustainable future,” said Greg Brady, General Manager, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour.

“As one of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks and a leader in the luxury tourism sector, we believe it is essential that we take a lead in this area.

“To receive a final score of 91 percent is testament to the incredible work that our Heartists, Owner and Accor do every day to build a better future.

“The international sustainability recognition provided by Green Globe™ is so important for the international guests who stay with us.”

The Schwartz Family Company is committed to being a responsible company and conserving the wealth that our earth has given us.

Accor is committed to sustainable development. In 2020, the Group set out its commitment to contribute to net zero carbon emissions globally by 2050 in line with the Paris Agreement and also engaging in the absolute reduction of greenhouse gases.
