Saxdor Yachts has presented a range of models at the boot 2025, held in Düsseldorf from 18 to 26 January.

The Finnish shipyard’s showcase included the German premiere of the Saxdor 340 GTWA and the updated Saxdor 320 GTC.

The company also introduced the Fathom e-power system, a lithium-ion auxiliary power management solution developed in collaboration with Navico Group.

Additionally, the Saxdor 340 GTWA and Saxdor 400 GTC were finalists for the European Powerboat of the Year Award and the Motor Boat Award, respectively.

At the event, Saxdor became the first boatbuilder outside the US to implement the Fathom e-power system. This integrated system features a generator function within a version of the Mercury V10-400 engine, allowing the engine to generate power while stationary or underway.

When operating together, the engines can produce up to 12 kW of power, which is transferred to 48-volt Mastervolt lithium batteries. The system combines digital controls, load management, and monitoring capabilities to supply power to onboard appliances without the noise, vibration, or emissions of a traditional generator.

“The Fathom e-power system is a game-changer for onboard power management, and we’re thrilled to introduce it to our customers in collaboration with Navico Group,” says Daniel Scharf, chief product officer at Saxdor Yachts.

“For boat owners, this means nearly ‘unlimited’ power for high-demand systems such as air conditioning and stabilisers—offering an advanced alternative to traditional diesel generators.

“By debuting this innovation on the Saxdor 400 GTC and expanding it to models equipped with V10-400 engines, we’re redefining energy efficiency and onboard comfort, reflecting our brand’s vision for modern boating.”

John Bennett, vice president and general manager, power systems at Navico Group, adds: “Saxdor is a valued customer, and we are thrilled about our collaboration to deliver a revolutionary power solution to the 400 GTC.

“Our 20 years of experience with lithium batteries, combined with our expertise in integrating our comprehensive product portfolio, have allowed us to develop a premium power system that will significantly enhance how Saxdor customers manage and monitor their power consumption, ensuring a more enjoyable and seamless experience on the water.”

The updated Saxdor 320 GTC was also on display at boot Düsseldorf, featuring changes to its design and layout. Modifications include a redesigned aft section with a new sofa and table arrangement, as well as upgraded upholstery in the wheelhouse.

The Saxdor 340 GTWA, which was making its first appearance at a German boat show, is the first wheelhouse walkaround model in the Saxdor range. It includes large side terraces, a feature uncommon for boats of this size, designed to optimise space and functionality. Other models on display included the 270 GT0, 320 GTO, and both versions of the flagship 400 Series—the 400 GTO and 400 GTC.
