The 2025 Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) and Southeast Asia Yachting Conference (SEAYC) will be held at ONE°15 Marina, Sentosa Cove, commencing 8 April.

Gateway to the resplendent cruising grounds of Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Maldives, Singapore has grand ambitions as a superyachting superpower, leveraging its strategic location, reputation as the region’s business and finance hub, and its world-class marinas.

Ahead of the SYF 2025, 10 to 13 April, and SEAYC which precedes it, 8 and 9 April, Ocean posed questions to Jonathan Sit, Regional General Manager, SUTL Enterprise Ltd, owner of the ONE°15 Marina, Sentosa Cove which is the event venue, about the positioning of the show and a sample of compelling conference topics.

What do you have planned for 2025 that’s new at the Singapore Yachting Festival?

There will be 70 boats on water and a land exhibition showcasing marine services, boat technologies, and complementary lifestyle services, featuring an Australian Pavilion co-hosted by AIMEX, Superyacht Australia and MIA.

In addition, there will be a luxury car display and daily supercar parades by McLaren, Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari. Golf clubs and marinas will showcase their offering, and the VIP Lounge will offer a new, curated lifestyle experience.

In the Superyacht Zone, there will be a Superyacht Lounge, sponsored by Damen and MTU. The Southeast Asia Yachting Conference (8 & 9 April) is produced by SG Marine Guide, in partnership with AIMEX, MIA, Superyacht Australia, SBIA, HKBIA, ICOMIA, and APSA, leading into SYF 2025.

Are there any new structures or additions to ONE°15 to accommodate vessels?

There will be an additional 1,000 square metres onto the festival premises this year. Along with a floating Superyacht Lounge on water to facilitate networking and deal-making close to the exhibiting vessels, there will be an exhibition on land featuring more than 30 brands.

How has the show evolved since it began in 2011?

The Singapore Yacht Show was held at ONE°15 Marina from 2011 to 2019. The Singapore Yachting Festival debuted in 2023 and is now in its third edition.

Over the past 15 years, the boating industry and yachting trends have transformed significantly – boats have grown in size, yachting culture has evolved, new water toys and water sports have emerged, and the yachting audience has diversified.

To keep pace with these changes and cater to the growing boating community, the festival has expanded its exhibits, featuring boats from 10 to 180 feet, along with water toys and live watersports demonstrations for enthusiasts.

The Singapore Yachting Festival attracts around 13,000 visitors and has firmly established itself among the world’s top 10 yacht shows. This year’s edition is set to be our most dynamic yet.

With over 100 prestigious brands represented, including more than 20 making their debut, SYF continues to grow as a leading platform where top-tier European brands, regional dealers and discerning yacht buyers converge.

Singapore’s position as a global business hub makes it the ideal meeting point for the yachting industry, where new models make their first appearances and serious buyers fly in to experience them first-hand. We are excited to see the Festival evolve, bringing fresh opportunities and fostering deeper connections within the yachting and luxury lifestyle space.

How many vessels are booked in this year and what brands are represented?

Around 70 vessels are booked and the key brands are Ferretti Yachts, Azimut Yachts, Sunreef, Leopard Catamarans, Sanlorenzo, Fountaine-Pajot, Princess Yachts and Echo Marine Group.

Who are the sponsors and partners on board?

Sponsors include J.P. Morgan, Damen Shipyards Group, MTU Solutions, Sevenstar Yacht Transport, Aston Martin, Clearvac Engineering, Can Can Furnishings, Echo Marine Group, Plus Marine and JIU Asia.

Conference partners are AIMEX, MIA, Superyacht Australia, SBIA, HKBIA, ICOMIA, and APSA. Media partners include Ocean Media, Yacht Style, Asia-Pacific Boating, SG Marine Guide, GMT and Oceanway.

How many delegates are you expecting to attend SEAYC?

Between 150 and 200.

What are the drawcards of the event in 2025 and why should people consider attending?

The Southeast Asia Yachting Conference (8 and 9 April) will share insights from top industry leaders in a premium networking event. Topics include: Master planning future Asian coastal developments; Rise of alternatives and sustainability in boating; Market changes in tourism and chartering; Airport Authority Hong Kong will unveil the Skytopia project to SE Asia at the conference, a master planned 500-berth marina eco-system to be built by the Hong Kong Airport; and Yacht Style Awards 2025, recognising industry leaders and companies.

What is Singapore’s role and position in the region in terms of a destination and a market for superyachts?

Being a key hub for yachts cruising between Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Maldives, Singapore offers yacht owners and industry players a stable and well-regulated base for operations. There is also a rising trend for yacht charters in Singapore and the industry is keen to promote yacht chartering as a new tourism sector.
