Eyachts has been named Greenline Dealer of the Year and received the Best Marketing & Content Creation award at boot Düsseldorf 2025, which took place from 18 to 26 January 2025 at Messe Düsseldorf in Germany.

The recognition follows strong sales performance across Australia and New Zealand, where demand for hybrid propulsion is increasing. The company has delivered Greenline 39, 40, 45 and 48 models across Queensland, Western Australia, New South Wales and Auckland, as well as overseas in Slovenia and the USA, where an Australian couple plans to cruise the Great Loop.

The uptake of Greenline Yachts in Australia and New Zealand reflects a broader interest in hybrid propulsion. “Greenline’s philosophy resonates deeply with Australian and New Zealand buyers,” says Peter Hrones, Managing Director of Eyachts.

“Many of our Greenline owners are experienced boaties who now prioritise shelter from the sun, stability on the ocean and easy one-level living. The ability to cruise quietly using hybrid propulsion and solar power is a game-changer for those who want an effortless and enjoyable experience on the water.”

Alessandro Lorenzon from Greenline highlights Eyachts’ role in sales and brand development. “Receiving two awards in the same year is an outstanding result,” he says.

“Thanks to Eyachts’ sales push and expertise, they ranked number one for orders received in 2024 globally. This shows how well they have communicated Greenline’s philosophy, quality and unique selling points to their customers.

“In addition, Eyachts produced the most original content – from walkthroughs to blog posts to owner interviews – actively contributing to our brand value and awareness.”

Greenline Yachts incorporates hybrid propulsion, solar energy systems, and design features that are suited to modern boating. Features of the brand’s vessels include one-level living, sheltered side decks and a low centre-of-gravity hull. The yard says its sixth-generation hybrid system reduces fuel consumption, noise and emissions, while advanced solar and battery systems enable silent cruising.

Australian owners Gordon and Fiona Hobbs describe their experience with the Greenline 39. “It’s like having a floating apartment,” says Fiona Hobbs. “The way the kitchen bench folds down to create a bar area is just brilliant – it makes entertaining so seamless. We love lowering the transom to use it as a swim platform, and there’s so much storage and spaciousness, even for someone as tall as 6’6”.”

Gordon says the hybrid propulsion system was a key factor in their decision. “We’ve always been sailors, so the idea of a fully diesel-powered boat didn’t sit right with us – we wanted the comfort and convenience of a motor boat without compromising our values.

“The Greenline’s hybrid propulsion was the perfect solution—it gave us the efficiency and sustainability we were looking for. Over three months of cruising, we’ve only logged about 40 engine hours, which shows just how effective the electric system is.”

Interest in European delivery is reportedly increasing, allowing Australian buyers to cruise in the Adriatic and Mediterranean before Eyachts arranges transport back to Australia.

Greenline’s full fleet features hybrid propulsion, combining electric motors for quiet operation with diesel engines for extended cruising. The system helps reduce running costs and emissions while enabling silent, lower-impact travel in environmentally sensitive areas.
