Designed for the whole family, the innovative Tiwal 2XL sailboat fits into two bags and in just 25 minutes, it’s ready to sail.
Tiwal will be presenting their new inflatable sailboat, the Tiwal 2XL, at Boot Düsseldorf from 18 to 26 January, on stand 15D22.
Measuring 3.80-metres in length and weighing just 52kg, this sailing dinghy has been specially designed for families (two adults and two children). It fits into two bags that can be popped in the car and takes just 25 minutes to assemble.
Sailing with the family
The Tiwal 2XL has been designed for families who want to enjoy sailing together. Equipped with an 8.2-square-metre mainsail and a 1.8-square-metre jib, this dinghy allows every member of the crew to take an active part in the sailing, for a boating experience that’s both fun and easy.

With its inflatable wings and wide deck, it offers generous space and great stability. Young and old alike can move around the boat easily and confidently, enjoying comfortable, safe sailing.
The Tiwal 2XL is the largest boat in the range, but it retains the qualities that have made Tiwal such a success – simplicity, efficiency, lightness and transportability.

Simple yet technical
The Tiwal 2XL inherits the technical characteristics of all the boats in the range, with an inflatable hull made from high-pressure double-wall fabric and a V-shaped hull, a aluminium structure, carbon mast and a loose-footed sail.
With its 1.8-square-metre jib and 8.2-square-metre reefable mainsail, it has been designed for optimum performance in light to moderate winds. The result of a collaboration with North Sails, this well-balanced sailing dinghy remains true to the brand’s philosophy of simplicity and manoeuvrability.
Marion Excoffon, Designer and Co-founder said, “We opted for an unstayed rig. Every detail has been thought out to maximise sailing pleasure, while guaranteeing simplicity of use and a refined design.
“The result is a real boat that’s responsive and fun, where every member of the crew can find their place and will get the most out of the sailing experience.”
The first models are due to be delivered in June 2025.

INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS
Tiwal has sold 3,000 boats which are sailing in 55 countries, from Lake Titicaca in Peru to San Francisco Bay, from the coasts of New Zealand to the Comoros, from the Namib Desert to Hong Kong, and of course everywhere in Europe. Tiwal sells 80 percent of its boats for export.
