The Italian yacht builder Wider is progressing with the development of the WiderCat 76 at its Wider Vision Hub in Fano, Italy.

The WiderCat 76, designed to provide versatility, functionality and cruising comfort, showcases exterior and interior designs by Luca Dini Design & Architecture in collaboration with Wider’s Centro Stile.

“The WiderCat 76 provides the allure of a superyacht with the agility of a smaller craft – a fusion of sharp design, technology and craftsmanship,” says Marcello Maggi, President of W-Fin Sarl.

Key construction milestones have already been achieved. The large GRP structures, including the deck and superstructure with the hardtop, are now assembled.

“We’re so confident in its appeal that we’re building the first unit on speculation and we fully expect the yacht to hit the water next year.”

The hull and deck are painted and finished, while the superstructure and hardtop are being prepared for painting.

Hydraulic piping for key systems, including fresh water, grey water, black water, fuel and HVAC, is complete, and machinery installation in the engine room is ongoing. Outfitting of the lower deck guest accommodation has reached an advanced stage.

The WiderCat 76 is powered by two FPT motors, each delivering 456 kW, in combination with a new-generation battery pack controlled by a Power Management System that monitors operational parameters. This setup allows for a maximum speed of 13 knots (24 km/h) and up to nine hours at anchor without engine use.

The yacht’s interior reflects a “Hampton” style with a yachting influence, offering a blend of functionality and spaciousness.

The four-cabin layout provides ample living spaces, balancing family-friendly design with luxurious features. Materials such as ivory-lacquered panels, dark oak ceilings and herringbone parquet flooring create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere.

The main deck includes an L-shaped sofa and dining area, with panoramic sea views through large windows. The master stateroom on this level features private access to a forward terrace, a marble-topped vanity, a panoramic shower and ensuite facilities. Below deck, VIP and guest cabins provide privacy, while the galley and dinette support meal preparation and social activities.

Outdoor areas enhance the experience further. The upper deck incorporates a sheltered dining space, a helm station and lounging zones. The main deck includes a deployable swim platform, a cockpit dining area, and a bow relaxation space with C-shaped sofas.

Wider continues to lead in sustainable yacht innovation, building on its history of integrating advanced hybrid propulsion systems into vessels like the WiderCat 76 and other models in its range.
