Italian shipyard, Baglietto has appointed Geoff Lovett International (GLI) as its Australian and New Zealand representative.
“To be offered the opportunity to partner with a company the calibre of Baglietto is a privilege,” said Perry James, Director at GLI.
“GLI see a great opportunity to expand the Baglietto brand in Australia and offer discerning purchasers an opportunity to own a vessel with the pedigree of Baglietto.
“The brand specialises in custom-built superyachts. We feel the Dom 133, at around that 40-metre mark, is ideally suited to the cruising needs of Australians.”
The Baglietto Australia office will be based on the Gold Coast at Marina Mirage, with the main goal to develop and promote Baglietto in both Australia and New Zealand.
“The opening of Baglietto in Australia is an important step to enter in a new market, which we consider to have great potential and to be highly strategical for us,” said Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto CCO.
“The Gold Coast is the ideal location to support our sales network in the area and I’m sure Perry James, with his great experience and knowledge of the market, is the best person to represent the Baglietto values and increase brand positioning.”
The brand specialises in the construction of new planing aluminium yachts ranging between 38 and 50 metres in length and steel and aluminium displacement mega-yachts above 40 metres.
Baglietto currently relies on two production sites, one in La Spezia, which acts as the brand’s headquarters, and one in Carrara, which functions as an operating site.
The company is set to grow considerably, not only regarding the construction of new pleasure vessels but also in the military sector, with two crafts for the Italian Navy currently under construction under the new Baglietto Navy brand.
Baglietto Australia will attend the 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show with Geoff Lovett International from 19 to 22 May on Superyacht Arm, Pier I, with three brokerage vessels.
