Luxury motor yacht builder Riviera Australia will present the 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition for its Americas premiere as part of an 11-model showcase at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, starting on Wednesday, October 30.
Visitors will be able to view Riviera’s latest models. The 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, developed by the Riviera design group in collaboration with superyacht designer Luca Vallebona, follows three years and over 45,000 hours of development and now serves as the flagship model in the Sport Yacht series.
A VIP event for Riviera owners will be held during the show to mark the launch of the 6000th Riviera yacht, the premiere of the 6800 Sport Yacht, and to celebrate the broader Riviera Americas family.
The Riviera collection ranges from 39 to 78 feet and includes various models such as the Motor Yacht, Sports Motor Yachts, Sport Yachts, SUVs, and the Belize collection.
“We are proud to welcome Riviera owners and admirers visiting the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, which is the first opportunity in the Americas to inspect the 6800 Sport Yacht,” says Riviera Australia owner Rodney Longhurst. “This year has been significant for our 950-strong team of craftspeople at Riviera. In April, we launched the 6,000th Riviera, a 5400 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition. Then in May we held a magical and exclusive celebration for Riviera’s VIPs, those who are eagerly awaiting future delivery of their very own 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition.”
The 6800 Sport Yacht offers multiple entertaining areas, including a forward deck for casual occasions, a protected aft deck, and a saloon with three lounges and an electric sunroof.
The boarding platform includes teak steps leading to the aft deck, with a tender garage and access to the engine room. The electro-hydraulic swim platform can be adjusted to match the level of the marina or pontoon, with wing doors on the aft deck providing easy access for raised fixed jetties. The tender garage offers storage for water sports equipment, with a tender cradle and electric winch system for launching and retrieving the tender. An overhead freshwater shower and light are also available.
The aft deck includes an extended hardtop for all-weather protection, an L-shaped lounge dining area with a teak table, and storage underneath. A breezeway blind and tinted glass quarter panels offer sun and weather protection. The alfresco galley includes a grill, hotplate, exhaust fan, drawer fridges, an icemaker, and a stainless steel sink with a solid surface benchtop. An electric sunroof allows for natural light and fresh air, and an LED TV is available for live viewing. The forward deck is accessible from the saloon side door and includes ice bins, a sound system, and seating for eight. Two sunbeds are also provided, along with stowable teak tables and a euro awning.
The saloon and galley are connected to the aft deck, creating a single living and entertaining space. The U-shaped galley includes premium appliances, timber joinery, and ample storage. A bar/serving station with a fridge, wine cooler, sink, and drinks cabinet is located opposite the galley. A U-shaped lounge with a solid timber table is available for indoor dining, with a matching sofa opposite. The saloon features a starboard door for access to the forward deck and side deck.
The helm features touch-screen navigation and operation technology, with fully adjustable captain and companion chairs. The electric sunroof and forward side windows can be operated with the touch of a button. The accommodation deck includes four staterooms and three bathrooms, with natural light provided by large hull windows.
The master suite includes a king-sized bed, a timber drawer bureau with a make-up station, a lounge, and a breakfast bar. The ensuite features a shower with frameless glass doors, teak seats, and heated towel rails. The forward VIP stateroom includes a queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, and ample storage. The portside guest stateroom can be configured with two single beds or one double bed, while the starboard guest stateroom includes two single berths.
The utility space can be configured as a dedicated laundry or a crew cabin. The laundry option includes a sink, washing machine, dryer, and bench space. The crew cabin option includes a wet head, air-conditioning, and a tinted hull window.
Owners can choose from custom options including Starlink high-speed internet, Praxis solar charging systems, and factory-fitted stabilisation systems.
The engine room is accessible via a watertight door from the utility cabin or through a door on the transom. The 6800 Sport Yacht is powered by twin Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1350 engines, rated at 1,000hp (735kW).
Riviera offers a five-year warranty on engines, drives, and electronics, supported by a seven-year structural and two-year express limited warranty.
Longhurst says: “We are looking forward to welcoming Riviera owners and admirers aboard our magnificent line-up of Riviera luxury motor yachts, including the Americas Premiere of the exceptional new 6800 Sport Yacht, in Fort Lauderdale.”
