Welcome to the Ocean Club

During the Sydney International Boat Show, Ocean Media hosted two very special invitation-only evenings to celebrate the launch of the Ocean Club and the show's 50th anniversary edition.

Owners, Captains, sponsors and clients celebrated in style with the neon backdrop of the city of Sydney and superyachts, luxury cruisers and tenders adorning the marina in Cockle Bay.

In collaboration with our sponsors;
Benetti Yachts

Analu

Execujet

Gold Coast City Marina

and Langton’s Fine Wines,

we transformed luxury charter vessel Coast into the floating Ocean Club Lounge, a lavish hub for our guests to relax throughout the madness of the show, with quiet corners for our sponsors to hold meetings with their business partners.

The creative team behind Analu, including Angela Burlizzi, Andrea Gambacorti and Stephen Conlon, conjured an ambience of stylish comfort with beautiful silk and cashmere soft furnishings and incredible Murano glass objets d’art, during the day, followed by platters of exquisite Italian cured meats, olives and cheeses and almond biscotti to guests’ delight in the evening.

Thursday evening was our owners’ and VIP event where even though the rain persisted outside, our guests stayed warm and dry inside the Club.

Claudio Corvino and Natalie Ye flew in from Italy and Hong Kong to represent Benetti Yachts, alongside Perry James and Kimberley O’Neill, with a model of the Benetti Domani on display.

Roxanne Pace represented exclusive aviation company Execujet and Trenton Gay, Kevin Altera and Richard Ross were in attendance from sponsor, Gold Coast City Marina.

For each of our VIP evenings we enjoyed the extraordinary culinary talents of Chef Grant Madgwick from Artichoke restaurant, Ephraim Island on Queensland’s Gold Coast. With his skilled team, Grant catered for our special guests with sumptuous canapes and desserts.

In the perfect complement to the gourmet morsels, wine brokers for Langton’s, Michael Chavez and Jacob Parker, were on hand to discuss their offerings of fine Venetian rosato and chardonnay, Martinborough pinot noir and Guy Charlemagne champagne with guests.

On Friday evening captains, VIP and Ocean Media clients came together for a more relaxed evening and this time celebrated under a cloudless sky.

It was an absolute delight to welcome some of the industry’s biggest names and owners and Captains from some of the region’s most prestigious yachts into our Club.

The Ocean Club Lounge was a relaxed area where owners, Captains and industry VIPs could relax with a cup of tea or coffee, or later in the afternoon, a glass of champagne or try our wonderful list of wines from Langton’s.

Over the next few months more will be announced on The Ocean Club and how owners, Captains and other luxury brands can access this exciting venture.
