Former Chief Technical Officer Andrea Frabetti has taken over as CEO of British boatbuilders Sunseeker. Frabetti’s appointment follows the resignation of Christian Marti, who joined the company in November last year. Marti joined Sunseeker from Aston Martin Lagonda where he held the position of Chief Sales Officer and Vice-President, having worked within the automotive industry for over 25 years.

John Zeng, the board representative for Sunseeker’s majority shareholder, Dalian Wanda, commented: “On behalf of Dalian Wanda, we would like to thank Christian for his input, professionalism and leadership. Christian leaves Sunseeker in a very healthy position focussed on its future growth”.

Sunseeker has its third chief executive in less than a year with Frabetti stepping into the role with immediate effect.

Frabetti worked at Italian shipbuilder Ferretti Group for over 25 years across all of the company’s key brands, overseeing the development of superyachts from concept to production-ready.

Sunseeker also hinted that a new product development plan and a new manufacturing programme will be established in a an attempt to streamline the business and make it as efficient as possible.

The business has recently embarked on a five-year growth strategy and the company is sitting on its strongest ever order book with continued investment in new product and facilities at the heart of the business plan.
