New blood at Azimut Benetti

Christos Ramnialis joins Azimut Benetti as the new General Manager of the Megayachts Business Line Benetti division.

The shareholders of Azimut Benetti –  the largest motor yacht producer in the world – the Vitelli family and Tamburi Investment Partners (TIP), in agreement with Benetti CEO, Mr Vincenzo Poerio, have decided to further strengthen the structure of the Megayachts Business Line Benetti, by appointing Mr Christos Ramnialis as General Manager of this important division.

Born in Greece, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Darmstadt in Germany, Mr Ramnialis has spent almost 30 years holding positions of increasing responsibility.

Throughout his career he has demonstrated the ability to work successfully in different environments.

Mr Ramnialis has extensive experience in the Yacht business and has, for more than a decade, been a partner of Benetti in his role as Head of the Global Sales and Service Group of MTU/Rolls Royce Power Systems where he served for 16 years.

In a statement the company said “We are confident that the appointment of Mr Ramnialis will enhance Benetti’s competitive position and leadership in all existing and new markets, and will contribute to further expansion into the promising giga-yacht segment.”

Under the direction of Mr Poerio, Benetti will continue to grow and enhance its product range and further lead the industry in the exploration of innovative technologies and strategic partnerships.

The shareholders of Azimut Benetti express their warmest congratulations to Mr Ramnialis for this new role and are confident that this appointment, combined with the great strength of the Azimut Benetti Group and with the ongoing significant investments in and focus on R&D, innovation and technology, will further increase the future performance of the company.
