Lürssen Yachts launched its latest superyacht project, the 74-metre (242’ 8”) M/Y Aurora earlier this month at its Rendsburg facility.

Previously known as Project Gatsby, Aurora features expansive exterior space and an overall high volume of 2,250GT for her length, including a beam of 13 metres (42’ 6”). Her layout includes a focus on entertainment and well-being areas, said the builder.

Sold in 2014 and project managed by Moran Yacht & Ship, the yacht was designed inside and out by Winch Design to provide a “timelessly classical profile”.

Aurora will be able to accommodate up to 16 guests in eight staterooms. Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M63 engines, she is expected be achieve speeds of up to 18 knots.

Aurora has been built to meet all of the owners’ requirements, creating a very private yacht with individual needs to the highest technical standard combined with many practical and useful features,” commented the shipyard.

Aurora is scheduled to be delivered in early summer.
