Sunseeker’s 161 Yacht, the new tri-deck superyacht in the 50-metre segment, features interior spaces created by the team at Design Unlimited. The interiors can be styled to each owner’s distinctive taste via Sunseeker’s renowned ‘Bespoke’ service.

The superyacht was first announced at the Monaco Yacht Show, and it has been reported that the first hull will be ready in 2021.

The theme throughout the yacht is one of space and flexibility, maximising volume and providing compelling features to enhance enjoyment on board. Many of these features are usually only associated with much larger craft, including the plunge pool on the main deck and the exceptional beach club with drop down bulwarks and transom to create an incredible space for relaxing or entertaining close to the water.

Standard guest configuration is for 10 guests in five cabins, with scope for up to 12 to be accommodated depending upon layout chosen.

“We have a longstanding relationship with Sunseeker, having worked with them extensively between 2006 and 2009 on the Predator and Manhattan models, but to be returning to the collaboration to complete the interior design of the 161 Yacht, really is something special,” noted Mark Tucker, CEO of Design Unlimited.

“Sunseeker has recognised our multi-faceted experience in the design of full-custom superyachts as well as production ranges, and this wide understanding of both owner and yard requirements leaves us uniquely positioned for this exciting and significant project.”

Sunseeker will partner with Dutch superyacht builders Icon Yachts, to build the new 50-metre yacht at Icon Yacht’s Netherlands facility, which will be of aluminium construction, Sunseeker’s first foray into metal built yachts.
