Taking place 12 to 17 September 2017, the show has gone from strength to strength. Last year more than 51,000 visitors from five continents were tempted by the 630 boats on show.

Cannes Yachting Festival has been the first to take place in the international yachting calendar since 1977 and therefore forefront in showcasing the highest number of new model launches and innovative designs.

A grand event will take place during the Festival to mark the special 40th anniversary, which will celebrate the four decades of the magnificent show.

Recognised as one of the most important international boating events and Europe’s largest on-water show, the Cannes Yachting Festival is known for its eclecticism and the wealth of vessels presented in a range of sizes.

Following the successful launch of La Terrasse during last year’s show, the Cannes Yachting Festival is unveiling the Luxury Gallery situated within the Palais des Festivals which will be dedicated to premium brands outside of yachting.

This will include watches, jewellery, fine sprits, fashion and accessories, household decoration, linens, furniture, design, art, high-tech products and services.

Returning for a third year, the Cannes Yachting Festival’s Concours d’ Elegance competition provides a unique spectacle of rare vintage and modern-day boats at the heart of the world-renowned show.

A seamless addition to the shows luxury credentials, the event will take place in the Vieux Port alongside the VIP pontoon and the Festival’s beach area on Thursday 14 September.

Exclusively open to exhibitors, owners and collectors of motorboats and day-boats of 12 metres and under, the event will be a rare occasion for visitors to admire the most exquisite fleet of the finest classic yachts, antique vessels as well as the latest releases on display at Cannes Yachting Festival.

From Australia, Riviera Motor Yachts and Maritimo will be present and exhibiting the latest models in their cruiser ranges.

Riviera’s International Sales Director, Chris McCafferty, said the company is proud to showcase the new Riviera 68 Sports Motor Yacht, fresh from its World Premiere at the Sydney International Boat Show at the beginning of August.

The company will also host the European premiere of the elegant 4800 Sport Yacht and showcase the Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht during the French festival.

The Riviera 68 Sports Motor Yacht will be the centrepiece of the company’s on-water display.

The new-concept craft has been designed to offer the exhilaration of sports performance with the luxurious comforts for which Riviera is internationally recognised. The collection includes two models, the 68 and a 72 model.

This motor yacht is designed to CE Category A certification, allowing superior offshore capability and extended cruising.

Greg Haines, Maritimo Sales & Marketing Manager said the company will be displaying the M51 and M59 this year and will have 13 dealer representatives at the show from all over Europe, the Middle East and Asia in attendance.

“Cannes is an important show for Maritimo as it showcases the product to buyers from all over Europe and the Middle East. It also gives European buyers the options of a fully enclosed flybridge boat, that is something that other markets have been craving.”

From New Zealand, JP RIBS will be presenting an industry-first to the European market, the all-electric LTS drivetrain as used on their high-performance RIB tender.

JP RIBS was started by superyacht captain Jonny Edgar, and his boat builder father, Phil Edgar. The team build high-performance superyacht tenders as well as custom RIBS, and have identified a gap in the international superyacht market for all-electric tenders with performance to match.

“I’m used to performance vessels, and I’m impressed by the available torque and power from LTS systems,” says Jonny Edgar.

“They give boat builders, owners and recreational water sports users the opportunity for a high performance vessel that’s kind on the environment. And with the models already in use for years in Canada, I’m excited to be able to bring them to Europe.”

Australian representatives for Sunreef, Vicsail looks forward to being a part of the wonderful exhibition Sunreef has prepared for the yachting public in Cannes.

Sunreef will unveil its new concept, encompassing all-around sailing leisure yacht range made for exclusive getaways, charter and transoceanic adventures.

The showcase at the event will also include the international premiere of the awarded Sunreef Supreme 68 Power catamaran alongside the custom Sunreef 62 and Sunreef 74.

The Sunreef Supreme 68 Power will make its International Premiere. A 68-foot power catamaran with a total living space of 302sqm offering the surface of a superyacht on a unit below 24-metres, she revisits the way catamarans have been so far designed, boasting an enormous saloon surrounded with floor to ceiling glass.

The Sunreef Supreme 68 Power is equipped with an aft garage – a truly revolutionary feature on a catamaran under 70 feet. This voluminous space allows to store a 5-metre tender, up to two jet-skis, diving gear and water toys. The garage door, when lowered, creates a large aft platform, perfect for water sports.

The event will be also an opportunity to unveil the concept of a new line of sailing catamarans that are currently taking shape in the company’s design offices.

Purity, space and light are the essential elements of the newest sail range boasting a combination of exterior and interior areas easily flowing into one another. A clever bridge deck and superstructure design allow for a great on board comfort potential whereas the generous teak use, high bulwarks and classy lines underscore the modern style with a classic edge.

“I will be there to host some clients that are looking at boats and we are quite excited with Sunreef releasing two very special models at the show which are well placed in the market,” comments Brendan Hunt, CEO of Vicsail.

Another standout in the multihull segment, the Lagoon Seventy8 is 24 metres in length, designed by the great names of naval architecture, VPLP, Patrick Le Quament and Nauta Design, thus signals entrance into a Motor Yacht world in which luxury and comfort are the watchwords.

Her silhouette, with timeless elegance, and the harmonious lines of her coachroof go hand in hand with large volumes to create a universe free of compromise, in which space is true luxury.

From Azimut, the 35 Metri has been built from pure carbon fibre, and boasts the largest extending terrace on the market.  Coupled with two big Beach Clubs in the stern and the bow and the option to add an additional sundeck on a third level, she is the pinnacle of luxury.

Designers Achille Salvagni and Stefano Righini have meticulously created special furnishings that enhance and embellish the beautiful interior.

The Brenta 80 SRD (semi raised decksaloon) is a fast Cruising Yacht that showcases Italian design, built in Germany.

Italian style icon Brenta Design is behind this new carbon cruiser, plus world-renowned architect – Sir David Chipperfield’s first foray into boat design, however the vision behind the design, the owner of the yard and the first boat to be built is former Hanse Yachts owner Michael Schmidt.

This contemporary 80-footer is a fast cruiser designed for bluewater, yet will be fun to sail with minimal crew. Designer Argento explained how the requirement for an extra-large master cabin led him to produce this novel take on the age-old centre-cockpit design. The semi raised saloon with a full glass panoramic vision from inside out sets a new standard in off shore cruising.

The Dufour Exclusive 63 is a magnificent 63-foot yacht which offers all the comfort of luxury equipment, combined with innovative cutting-edge functionalities.

The cockpit of the Dufour Exclusive 63 was designed to have several separate spaces on board and to integrate cutting-edge functionalities worthy of the largest yachts. This 18-metre yacht notably offers an exterior galley as standard equipped with a gas barbecue, sink and fridge. The bow of the Dufour Exclusive 63 offers a large additional living space and is equipped with two integrated deckchairs.

The stern platform is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing and lengthens the cockpit by 1.5 metres. The helms are positioned at the stern to keep the relaxation area separate from the control area. Passengers can therefore fully relax on the cockpit’s long seats. They will without doubt also appreciate the fantastic sunbathing area located at the stern, ensuring optimum comfort when anchored, along with some other surprise features.

The Outer Reef Yachts Classic 630 motor yacht will make her European debut at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival.

A semi- displacement passage maker that cruises economically at 14 knots, this yacht affords virtually full customisation for any discerning customer.

This ‘pocket superyacht’ will draw significant interest from customers who will be able to choose the hull length from 58 up to 63 and as with all of Outer Reef Yachts Classic series yachts, multiple customisations of interior layouts are made available, like installing a larger or smaller aft deck, saloon, galley or cockpit. Even stairs connecting to each deck can be situated on the left or the right depending on the internal layouts.

The concept has been created to meet the needs of the owner-operator, however, for skippers who intend on significant overnight cruising, there is enough flexibility to install additional crew quarters.

All Outer Reef Yachts are built to withstand all weathers, and this semi displacement hull is no exception. She’s certified Ocean Category A ‘unrestricted navigation’ and therefore capable of trans-oceanic voyages.

This stunning yacht boasts a full beam hard top covered flybridge offering excellent all-round visibility with room for upper deck dining and relaxing, stepping down to an on-deck tender storage area with crane.

Other important features include an ample aft deck leading to a large saloon which opens to a fully equipped galley and internal wheel house.

All areas include enough seating for guests to socialize whilst underway or at anchor. Externally, a Portugese bridge, non-slip side decks and ample fore deck areas, allow for safe access to all vital equipment in adverse weather conditions.

Creature comforts continue below deck, continue with a full beam King size berth amidships and ensuite for the Master Stateroom, a Queen size VIP Stateroom forward and two bunk berths for guest state rooms on the port side with shared guest head.

All ORY Classic yachts have Tier 111 compliant engine packages, such as the latest John Deere PowerTech range. Stabilisers, bow thrusters, air conditioning and other ‘large ticket’ items are standard on this model.

From Gulf Craft, the spectacular Majesty 100, and the Majesty 110, the youngest tri-deck in the Majesty Yachts portfolio.

The selection of both yachts for display at the two shows is reflective of the Emirati-based builder’s growing confidence in the global appeal of the Gulf Craft brand’s trendsetting design and innovation.

The Majesty 100 has completely reimagined what it means to spend time on the water with family and friends. An all-new experience, even for the most experienced luxury cruiser, time spent on the Majesty 100 is time invested in life at its very best.

The model’s success has been reflected in the impressive sales in the Middle East and Asia and she will soon make her debut in Europe.

Absolute will present the world launch of the Navetta 73, which at 22.30 metres is the new flagship of the Absolute range, offering functionalities, spaces and technologies which until now, were realised only on considerably bigger yachts.

On the Navetta 73, the outside helm station finds its place at flybridge bow: the backstairs that connects it to the internal helm station creates a reserved and practical area for the crew. An elegant wet-bar is placed in face of a dining area composed by a table, dining chairs and one of the sofas that characterize the style, the elegance and the functionality of this Fly. The openable Hard Top and a wide aft sunbathing area give this deck a unique usability.

The interiors are one of the strengths of this yacht, which implements the values considered by Absolute as guidelines for its own products: comfort, beauty, innovation and safety.

The Navetta 73 is one of the first yachts in the world equipped with the new Volvo Penta 1000 hp D13-IPS1350. The system grants silent movements and control of the consumption, minimising environmental impact.

Sunseeker will be displaying its stunning range of motor yachts at the first show of the European boating season. Visitors to the Sunseeker stand will have the opportunity to view the new Manhattan 66 making its first appearance at the show.

Having already sold 43 boats since its launch in January, this innovative new model for 2017 is designed to maximise space and entertainment options with exceptional panoramic hull and saloon windows providing light-drenched living spaces throughout. Its deep V hull offers signature Sunseeker performance and impeccable seakeeping, whilst the impressive layout provides ample space on board to rival much larger yachts.

The newly configured flybridge also creates the feeling that you are on board a much larger craft and has been designed with relaxation in mind, with extensive seating throughout, large forward sunbathing areas and a well-equipped wet-bar.

Clever design continues through to the wide hydraulic bathing platform (capable of launching a Williams 385 Jet RIB) and transom Beach Club, where an optional BBQ, fold-down transom seat and overhead ‘rain shower, truly set the Manhattan 66 apart from its peers.

The optional twin-berth crew cabin has separate access through the transom and enjoys a dedicated wet room and ample stowage. Thanks to the galley being situated on the main deck, there is room enough for four very spacious cabins below including two large twin cabins, a forward VIP suite and standout full-beam master suite with its own private stairway access from the saloon; a first for Sunseeker in this size range.

Alongside this magnificent model, Sunseeker will be also showcasing the 116 Yacht, 95 Yacht, 86 Yacht, Predator 68, Manhattan 52, Predator 57 and the San Remo.

Canados has confirmed an exciting triple world debut in Cannes: Gladiator 428, 808 Maximus and 888 Evo.

The Gladiator 428 hull has been designed and engineered giving priority to safety, stability, rough water handling and comfort. As a result, the Gladiator 428 is the only boat in its category to come with a RINA A Class certificate.

The massive bow flair will guarantee an all-weather dry ride while the 21º deep V at the transom allows running the boat at any speeds even in strong swell.

Canados wanted a bullet proof yacht, thus the entire hull, structure and deck are made of vacuum bagged quadri-axial E-Glass vinyl-ester infused resin with balsa and Airex coring to offer maximum strength and rigidity. The boat comes standard with GPS, Chart plotter, auto-pilot, depth sounder, bow thruster and maneuvering joystick making it a true toy to handle.

As the vast majority of clients are running this kind of boats themselves, the standard equipment list also includes a ‘crystal cockpit’ integrated dashboard. It is basically an intuitive touch screen integrating controls of all the boat electrical equipment including sound system, bilge pumps, blowers, lights, engines parameters and navigation electronics.

The Gladiator is also the first boat equipped with the all new Volvo battery management system. The entire cockpit from the swimming platform all the way to the cabin door is step-less, allowing to safely and easily move in the boat underway with no risk.

The Canados 808 Maximus is absolutely unique, offering a main deck owner’s suite, far from the engine room, while its full beam lower deck VIP suite offers even more volume than the best master cabin found in competitive yachts, thanks to its 6.25-metre beam.   Where the Maximus is even more unique is in the fact she is available in a 5-cabin version, making it the only yacht that size offering such capacity. A unique factor for charter operated yachts.

The first 808 to be launched will be powered with twin V12 MAN – 1,900 hp that will allow the Maximus to offer a cruising speed in excess of 25 knots and a 30 knots top speed.

The descendant of the Canados 86′ of which 46 units have been delivered, now has its successor, the 888 EVO. A modern-classic by essence, the 888 EVO intends to be the most elegant vessel in the category. Retaining the 86’s purity of the lines, the Evo comes with redesigned portholes, floor to ceiling drop shaped side windows, foredeck lounge, open/close Boffi custom made galley and a transom less aft deck with reversed U shaped sofa. The fly bridge has been enlarged compared to its predecessor and is now available with all lose furniture from Italian maker Talenti.

Like every Canados, the 888 Interiors are fully custom and the client will be able to choose any essence of wood, marble or Poltrona Frau leather. Using the exact same technical platform as the 86′ which track record is simply impeccable, the first EVO 888 will bear hull number 47 in the continuity of the 86’.

Italian yard, Sanlorenzo will exhibit nine models, from the 24-metre SL78 to the 38-metre fiberglass flagship SD126: SL78, SL86, SL96, SL106, SL118, SD92, SD112, SD126.

Cannes will be the occasion for the official debut of the SX line with the new motoryacht SX88, 26,70 meters in length and first crossover model by Sanlorenzo.

Sanlorenzo SX88 is characterized by many innovations including Grp hull and carbon fibre superstructure; Semi-displacement hull tested in the Wageningen (Holland) tank test to optimise the performances in the different speed range, up to 23 knots; Open stern to fulfil the different functions of garage, Beach Club, and sport activity area; Two main deck layouts: open space or Owner’s cabin; One steering position on fly bridge, that can be closed and air-conditioned; Advanced building process made on the open hull and highest environment sustainability attention thanks to the use of low impact materials and process.

Princess will showcase a selection of yachts from the V Class, S Class, Flybridge, Motor Yacht and M Class ranges.

The all-new Princess 62 will headline the Princess display, reinforcing the award-winning Flybridge range.

She encapsulates the Plymouth-based shipyard’s meticulous design ethos and all the benefits of the latest infusion technology, enabling the inclusion of features normally possible only on much larger craft.

The silhouette of the 62 is unmistakably Princess, from the vast sweeping deck saloon windows to the clean lines of the canopy. New sculpted hull side windows, which are distinctive yet understated, give the exterior a dynamic appearance. Her optimised hull form allows greater efficiency and fitted with Twin Volvo D13-900 (2 × 900mhp) engines the 62 is anticipated to reach speeds up to 32 knots.

The all-new Princess 62’s flybridge inspires relaxation with a large dining area, a sunpad aft and a unique circular forward seating area that can be converted into an additional sunpad. Boasting a walkthrough foredeck entertaining space and a hydraulic bathing platform as standard she is an ingenious and compelling addition to the Flybridge range.

Her cavernous main deck saloon features a sociable aft galley arrangement that opens to the cockpit. The helm position is located to starboard with additional forward facing guest seating opposite. Below deck six guests enjoy three beautifully appointed ensuite cabins all bathed in natural light from the elegant hull glazing, with the option of a further twin cabin aft for occasional guests or crew.

Princess are also delighted to present an exclusive global unveiling of a bespoke design collaboration between the Princess Design Studio and Mulliner, Bentley’s in-house personal commissioning division, the Bentley Continental GT V8 Convertible Galene Edition by Mulliner.

The Plymouth-based yacht brand will also launch ‘Princess Lifeline’ their unique new partnership with MedAire – a 24/7 international SOS service.

Every Princess Yacht comes with 2-year Princess Lifeline cover as standard for the well-being of Princess customers and their guests. It provides access to medical and travel safety experts, real-time information and advice.
